Update on Flash End-of-Life




With December 2020 approaching, we wanted to give you an update to the future of Webkinz. Back in May 2019, we released the Webkinz Desktop App, and later in the year we released the Mac version. These versions did still use the Flash Player, just without a browser.


We are pleased to announce that we will soon be releasing a NEW Desktop App that no longer uses Flash Player at all. This version will allow you to play Webkinz for years to come!


And there is no need to wait. By downloading and installing the current Desktop App, you will automatically be upgraded to the new version as soon as it is ready.


We at Ganz are very proud of Webkinz and have no intention of a little thing like Flash getting in the way of your fun! We will continue to support Webkinz with new items, new pets and all of your favorite events.

    I’m currently having issues with the Webkinz application. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it several times on my laptop. Every time I open it, a tiny black screen pops up followed by the full screen being all black as well? I have windows 8, and I first installed Webkinz a month ago on my laptop, and it was fine. But now after a hard reset of my laptop, and reinstalling, it won’t work anymore?

        My laptop has been completely updated, I did a hard reset on the whole thing. It was factory reset with fresh Windows installed.

          Just verifying, since you were able to install before you wiped your machine. I’d try uninstalling and deleting all versions of Webkinz Classic on your machine, then get a fresh download from webkinz.com — if possible, try to have a direct wired connection while installing, as a slow connection may affect the installation process.

            I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 different times, wiping it completely from every part of my laptop before reinstalling and it still hasn’t worked yet. So I tried the direct wired connection, and it didn’t make a difference, it still came up with the all black screen.

    It won’t let me update my Webkinz next because after I clicked on it it said update and when I click on it you goes to my Google play and it says play so it’s not letting me updating or I can’t play webkinz next either. So fix the app and don’t tell me to contact Webkinz support because they haven’t replied back to me. I’m getting really frustrated with Webkinz Next and Webkinz support and I’m tired of Webkinz Next problems. So please reply to me and if you don’t fixed the Webkinz next problems like I can’t see my house fully and I emailed Webkinz support again and they better reply to me and if not I will quit Webkinz because I don’t want to but I will until you get Webkinz Next fixed right. So fixed it now

      Unfortunately, the Google Play store has not yet approved the update, so it is not available. This was a critical update so you will not be able to play on your Google device until the Google Play store approves the update. We do not have an ETA for this, unfortunately.

    the parents settings page still requires flash, meaning that I cant log in to change my clubhouse permissions. is there anyway to fix this?
