Updated User Agreement

The Webkinz World User Agreement has been updated. Some of these updates include the changes first announced with this special report published on March 2, 2019.

Please take a moment to review the changes by visiting Webkinz.com and clicking on Privacy & More in the top right corner. Please note the following:

As reported earlier, Webkinz World accounts are no longer being archived. Accounts that have purchased pets, in-game currency or Deluxe memberships may be deleted after 24 months of inactivity. Accounts with no paid activity may be deleted after six months of inactivity.

Players with archived accounts will have until September 30, 2019 to retrieve them. As of October 1, 2019, all remaining accounts in the archive will be deleted. As a result, the usernames associated to these accounts will be available once again to register as new accounts.

The User Agreement now also explicitly forbids the sale or trade of any and all virtual items, with the exception of the trading of items for items through the in-game system. Virtual items may not be sold for cash, traded for eStore points, or traded for any equivalent service or consideration. Accounts violating these terms may be permanently banned.

Additional changes to the User Agreement can be reviewed directly. Please read our User Agreement regularly, as our Service is continually evolving.

I have an alt with an emperor dragon pet that I haven’t logged onto since 2012. I do not know the email address linked to the account, but I do have the secret code for the pet. Is there a way that I can merge the pet with my main account? I kinda don’t want to lose it.

    • Sally Webkinz says:

You cannot merge the accounts, no, but you just need to log in to that account regularly to keep it active. Depending on when in 2012 you last logged into that account, it may have already been deleted. Inactive accounts were only maintained in the archive for 7 years before being deleted due to privacy laws.

will I need to adopt a pet to be considered active? or just log on?

is there a specific reason why archived accounts will be deleted now? I just recently recovered this account, but im still trying to log in to my other one. I know my login and password; it says the account info is wrong. I really want this account recovered! help!

I have 7 accounts and all are active, but was wondering I got a kiwi bird for this account and it was telling me I was a free account. I had put a 3 month deluxe on but was wondering if after this will it still become free??

I’ve read all of this over and over and I think I’m ok, until I die! But want to be very clear about the term “purchased pet”. Does this include virtual pets purchased with estore points? My 3 latest accounts have nothing on them but virtual pets. Since we have to start a new acct with a Free pet, and no stores in my area sell Webkinz any more, I can only get new pets from the estore. I have taken over grandkids’ accts and keep every single acct active, but I’m getting old and actually do worry about what will happen to the pets and accounts when I’m gone :-) Will the kids take them over and keep it going? Idk :-(

    • Sally Webkinz says:

Virtual pets count as purchased pets (some are available for eStore points, others are available for cash), so those accounts will fall under the 2 year rule for inactivity.

  6. Malibu says:

Sometimes, I will GIFT e-store points in the trade room. I tell the pet that I don’t trade points, but they kinz post me items anyway. Is this allowed?

  7. KingFido says:

Can we give out eStore item codes for free? Like as part of a raffle/giveaway on forums/social media?

    • Sally Webkinz says:

If your giveaway requires purchasing raffle tickets or something similar using eStore points, real money or something equivalent, then no. If it’s just giving stuff away for free, then sure.

How do we recover archived accounts?

  9. EmmaFett says:

lol I feel bad for Sally because she’s just repeating herself over and over again..the User Agreement seems pretty clear in my opinion..

  10. hbvn says:

Ok, so this means that Ebay sellers can’t sell virtual webkinz items anymore? Does this also include pet codes?
