Updates are coming to the Webkinz and Pet of the Month Prize Pools during maintenance on February 10!
The Webkinz Prize Pool contains the prizes you win for logging in and spinning the Wheel of WOW a certain number of times.
The Pet of the Month prizes are found in the Pet of the Month loot bag, which you get for adopting the Pet of the Month.

I’m going to miss getting The Big Bowl of Soup! When I was lucky enough to get one, I would use it in one of my Halloween Rooms. Wish they would leave that green bowl of soup in the Prize Pool! :-(
The lurking lagoon works! I took a risk and got the lurking lagoon as a POTM exclusive this month (I had my eye on it as a child when POTM started back in 2007) but never got the chance to get it until now (I just recently came back to webkinz)! I was scared that the animation would no longer work, but it does! The color of the lagoon is a bit less bright than I would have liked (it doesn’t pop or stand-out as an exclusive landscape piece), but who am I to complain! My inner-child is very happy :)
I am going to miss the lighthouse, but I am looking forward to the new prizes.

I am so excited about the toaster and casserole dish! However, I wish there was some way to select the prizes from the pool, especially because I feel like it takes me months to get some of the newer prizes. ALSO does anyone know if we can mute webkinz on the desktop app? Sometimes I’m in the middle of a lecture and log on, and the kiss from my pet ALWAYS catches me off guard
I agree about the prize pool, I still don’t have most of the items from the last update to the pool. I usually just get the same few over and over. Same goes for the exclusive items from adoption, I seem to just get the same few very old ones and never ever get the newer ones. As for muting, this will depend on your operating system. In my version of windows, I click on the little speaker symbol down in the bottom right area of my taskbar. From that I choose Mixer and that lets me adjust the volume of every open application. So when I have the webkinz app opened up, I see it listed there and can lower the volume or mute the volume for that specific app.
Thanks for sharing jsforfr! I’m on windows as well, but that option didn’t come up when I clicked the speaker symbol. However, I went to sound settings and I did indeed find that option under “advanced sound options”. I had no idea that this was possible and I’m so thankful that you mentioned it! I frequently want to listen to music or videos when I play (esp. in the arcade), and I was really surprised that they didnt offer a volume option for the whole program/app when they updated it to work as a window. I know they basically don’t have any ‘settings’ (which I find strange), one would think they would realize how essential in-app sound control is. Anyways, thanks for helping! Hopefully apple users have the same flexibility
