Fancy Flower Sandwiches
Millie’s party is coming up really soon, so it’s time to start preparing the food and getting the decorations ready! Since it’s almost springtime, I figured I’d make some adorable flower sandwiches. They’re so easy to make – and very cute. Here’s what you do: Make your sandwich. Millie likes tuna salad and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so that’s what we’ll be having at her party. Cut the sandwich out with a cookie cutter. You’ll want to use a cookie cutter that doesn’t have any really small parts (it might rip the bread when you cut it out). Because I’m making flower sandwiches, I’m going to garnish the middle of the peanut butter and jelly ones with cherries, and the tuna ones with olives! Put the sandwiches in the fridge until it’s time for the party. Make sure to wrap them well!
Letter from Laurabeard
Dear Nibbles, Hi again! We just made port so I wanted to be sure and send you a letter. Starting tomorrow I won’t be able to write you because we are headed into… the jungle! When Dogbeard was last in Kinzville he was talking to Arte Fact about a treasure that Arte’s friend, Matilda Monkey, had been hot on the trail of. Dogbeard thought it sounded a lot like a treasure that he found a map to in an old shipwreck on an island last year. So now we are going to try and connect with Matilda and share the map with her and maybe help find the treasure! Isn’t that cool? The locals say that a monkey matching Matilda’s description passed through their town a few months ago, stocking up on supplies for a jungle trek so we are going to follow her trail. This trip is so exciting, Nibbles! I wish you were here with me, but I will try to tell you everything that happens and take lots of pictures. Then it can be sort of like you were here. I really miss you! Hi to everyone! Love, Laurabeard
Plumpy’s Smoothie Recipes
Dear Readers, I’m so excited! Why? Because my brunch is coming up very soon! Now, I know I’ve got Webkinz World’s foremost chef (Chef Gazpacho) cooking for me, but I just can’t be totally paws off. I need to contribute SOMETHING. And that something is going to be smoothies! I love smoothies. They’re so tasty and healthy. The Sparkster
Okay, this Sparky thing is really starting to get out of hand. I know the plan was to convince him that he had broken his unlucky streak, but surely he can’t still think he’s unlucky! Can we give this a break soon? Today we were playing games at the Arcade. Before we went in to meet Sparky there, we all agreed that we were going to let him win – at everything. Which we did, but let me tell you, it started to get a little tiresome when Sparky started pumping his fist every time he won a game and going, “Oh yeah!!! The Sparkster is unbeaten!!!” Really, Sparky? The ‘Sparkster’? I’m starting to think that maybe we want to tone down the luck just a little. You know, before he turns into a complete egomaniac. Although to be honest, I’m worried it may be too late for that.

Lucky Sparky
Dear Benny, Remember when I wrote to you earlier this week and told you about the good luck I’ve been getting from the rock Stoogles gave me? Well, today it got even BETTER (believe it or not). Today, I got a phone call from a radio station. The deejay said that I had won a contest for a lunch out with four friends at Le Snout! My mom had to get on the phone and accept on my behalf (because I’m a kid), but she said that I can choose who to take to the restaurant. The funny thing is I don’t even remember entering this contest! Is it possible that the rock is THAT lucky? Is it so powerful that I’ll win things I don’t even enter? Will I get a call saying “You’re the mayor of Kinzville” or something? I don’t even know! I’m going to take Alex, Salley and Stoogles to the restaurant (I hope Nibbles, Molly, Roberta and Cowabelle understand). It’s going to be SO much fun! I know your school doesn’t have spring break until next week, but have fun when you’re off! Your pal, … Read more
Molly Comes Home
Oh wow! I am so glad to be home! The Big City is really cool, but I couldn’t wait to see my mom and dad and all my friends, and even Millie! Polly and I had a great time. The first night was kind of rough because I guess I felt a bit homesick, but after that I managed to really enjoy myself. I tried some new foods that I had never tried before and we went shopping in these fancy shops (it was fun to look but I couldn’t actually afford to buy anything!) On our last night there, Polly’s parents surprised us all with tickets to a live show of Monkey & Monkey! It was so exciting seeing them in real life! The theatre was packed but we had really good tickets, just a few rows from the front. I was really happy to get back though and see my mom and dad, but the best part was that just after I got home, the doorbell rang and when I answered it Cowabelle and Roberta were standing there. They said that they wanted to apologize for the way they had … Read more
Le Snout: Ready for St. Patrick’s Day!
Hailey and Elwin Elephant here, with something exciting to show you. Le Snout – redone for St. Patrick’s Day! It’s greener, it’s cooler, it’s better than ever before! Chef Gazpacho called us and asked if we could do a super-quick makeover. The challenge was to redesign the entire restaurant in only one night. We went over after Le Snout was closed and worked for about twelve hours non-stop. Elwin and I were EXHAUSTED the next day, but we’re so pleased with the results. Anyway, without any further ado, here’s the room: It’s a wonderland of green, green and more green! I don’t think anyone would wonder what holiday we’re celebrating. I’d have to say, Hailey, my favorite part is that fireplace and chair grouping by the front door. I just LOVE the different shades of green. Elwin, I’d tend to agree. Although I must say, I do love the round green table in the corner. It’s a nice contrast from the green rectangular tables. And the pictures on the wall? Gorgeously green! From us to you, happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Molly’s Musical
Dear Cowabelle, Thanks for the email last night. It made me feel better just to hear from you (and Roberta, of course! I kind of wish I was at your sleepover, but we’ll have another one when I get home, right?). Anyway, guess what happened this afternoon? Polly and I actually had FUN in the Big City! We went to see a musical. It was so great! I had never been to a musical before, so it was very exciting. The sets and props and costumes were so colorful and gorgeous. The musical was very funny and the singers were so talented. Polly said that she used to go to the theater all the time when she lived in the Big City. I reminded her that Kinzville has the Henrietta Hippo Theater, but she pointed out that the one in the Big City is a LITTLE more extravagant. OK, true. Also, it’s a lot larger. I managed to totally NOT get lost today, and I actually hailed a taxi! I think I might just turn into a city girl before I leave. How are things in Kinzville? Love, Molly
Plumpy finds a dress – or three
Well, I’ve narrowed down my dress choices to three, but I just can’t decide. They’re all such different styles and each is pretty in its own way. Here are the dresses I’m trying to decide between: Option #1I just feel like a princess in this dress! It’s just lovely with its pink petticoat and sash. And I love the short veil and the flowers for my hair. I just feel so pretty in it! Option #2 This was my grandmother’s dress and I think it’s so elegant. It’s made of antique ivory satin with a jeweled tiara and a long veil. I just feel so regal wearing this and it has sentimental value. Option #3 I thought that it might be neat to go non-traditional. I was thinking of this funky purple dress. Isn’t it kind of fun to do something different? I think my wedding would be totally unique if I went with a dress like this. Wow! This is such a big decision and I just can’t make up my mind! What … Read more
Molly Pig in the Big City
Dear Cowabelle, I’m having such a tough time in the Big City – you’re the most sophisticated friend I’ve got, so I figured you could maybe give me some pointers about how I should act here. And trust me, I need pointers. LOTS of pointers. I’m NOT good at city living. I think the problem is that the city is so…big. I keep getting confused about where we are (and maybe I’ve complained about that a few times to Polly) But today? Today was the worst. I actually got totally lost. I was out to lunch with Polly and her family, and I had to go to the bathroom. The restaurant was HUGE, but I managed to find it. When I tried to find our table again, though – I couldn’t. I had NO idea where Polly’s family was sitting! I tried to flag down a waiter, but they were so busy delivering food, they didn’t notice me. I started wandering around and around the restaurant, and somehow I ended up out on the patio. Outside! I knew we weren’t sitting out there, but when I tried to get back … Read more
Cowabelle’s Sleepover
It’s Cowabelle. Roberta and I had the most awesome time at our sleepover. We painted our toenails green for spring and my mom let us borrow some of her old makeup to give each other makeovers. We made homemade pizza for dinner, and then we baked an apple pie. Which was totally fun (and delicious) but when my mom came into the kitchen and saw all the clouds of flour everywhere I thought she was going to freak. Luckily she just gave me one of her looks (why are teachers so good at those looks?) and I knew that Roberta and I would have to clean up before we watched our movie. When the kitchen was clean and our pie was done, we watched a movie marathon, snuggled up on the floor in our sleeping bags eating pie! How fun is that? When it was time to go to sleep, we could not stop giggling about how happy Sparky was about finding that 20 KinzCash last week. He really thinks that lucky stone is working! But later on, when we were lying there in the dark in our sleeping bags, Roberta said she felt … Read more
Sparky Strikes it Rich
It’s Roberta. How long do you think we need to keep up this lucky stone charade for Sparky anyway? Today he could not believe his luck because on the way to the ‘Kinz meeting, he found 20 KinzCash lying on the sidewalk. I know what you’re probably thinking. You’re thinking that the lucky stone actually works. Well, you’re wrong. We just want Sparky to think that it works so you know what we did? We all chipped in some KinzCash and we planted it there for him to find. Salley and Stoogles waited behind a hedge until they saw him coming and then they secretly placed it in his path so he would find it. So now Sparky is 20 KinzCash richer and the rest of us are kind of broke. When he got to the meeting he was so happy, which was great and all, but he said the rest of us should cheer up because we seemed kind of grumpy. Then he complained because no one had stopped at the W Shop to pick up snacks for the meeting. That’s because we didn’t have any KinzCash left! We had given … Read more
