Hey, it’s Sparky. I got some good news and some bad news today, sorta.
The good news is, I finally figured out what I am going to get my Uncle Arte for Christmas. Which is a huge relief, because I’ve really been struggling with it. I mean, what do you get a guy who has traveled the world, had exciting adventures and runs his own shop that sells some of the coolest stuff in Kinzville? Booger suggested a video game, but that’s not really Uncle Arte’s speed. And then Roberta said maybe I should make something, which wasn’t a bad idea, but I wasn’t really sure what I could make that he would want. I guess he must have noticed that I was feeling a bit stressed because he sat me down when I came into the Curio Shop the other day and asked what was bothering me. I know you shouldn’t talk about what gift you’re going to give someone, but I’ve never been able to lie to Uncle Arte so I just came out and told him the truth, that I really wanted to give him the perfect present but I didn’t know what that would be.
And then he gave me an idea. But that’s where the bad news comes in. Because Uncle Arte said that the single best gift he could get for Christmas this year is if I got an A on my geography test. I’ve been putting in a lot of hours at the Curio Shop and not really studying as much as I should lately and I know Uncle Arte’s been kind of disappointed in me. I really want to make him happy, but to be honest, I’ve been so tired from working in the shop, and busy thinking about Christmas, I’ve kind of been slacking off in class lately. So how am I going to turn it around in time to pull off an A on my test? It’s in less than a week!
But you know what? I want to do this. I really want to give Uncle Arte the gift that he is wishing for and make him proud. I’m going to call my friend, Alex and ask him for help. All I can do is try, right?
Why don’t you ask him about his adventures around the world? And then you can go look on the map at where he went.
I know not everyone like school or tests (especaily if you want to get a A) But you should try your hardest! DO IT FOR UNCLE ARTE!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Go Sparky! luvvyu is right, don’t cram it or you won’t remember ANYTHING you crammed! Do it in about less than an hour of study each time, and make sure it’s before bedtime, because then you can rest and think about it all night!

That’s a wondeful gift you’ve decided to give Arte! Great job! But I know you are probably struggling with it since school isn’t your favourite thing, but trust me, when you take the tme to study hard and practice the work being taught, you WILL get that A, and get your uncle his gift. Being an A student myself, it is really rewarding to know you’ve done an exceptional job in school, and the people around you will praise you for it. If this isn’t convincing enough to motivate you to continue your studies, just look at your uncle Arte; he gets to TRAVEL the WORLD and meet and find new people and items. I bet if you asked him, he probably is doing what he is doing because he continued to strive for top marks and pushed himdelf to his best, JUST as you should be too! GOOD LUCKKK!!!!! <333
