Dear April,
Today has not been the best day of my life. I was walking home from Sparky’s when I ran into Molly, who was walking home from Cowabelle’s. I said hi, and then she said, “Alex, we have to talk.” I wasn’t sure what we had to talk about, but we sat down on a bench and she said, “Alex, I like you.” And I couldn’t believe it! I was just about to say “I like you too, and I bought you those presents at Christmastime!” when she said, “As a friend. Just a friend.”
And then I didn’t know what to say.
She kept talking. “Roberta told me you were going to give me chocolates on Valentine’s Day, but I really don’t think you should. We’re just friends, and I’d like to keep it that way, at least for now. We’re young, we’ve got years ahead of us…”
And I just nodded.
She stuck out her hoof and I shook it. “Still pals?” she asked.
And I just nodded again.
She smiled and walked off. And me? I just sat there for awhile.
But then, after realizing how cold I was, I headed home. I hid out in my room feeling sad for awhile, until I remembered the box of chocolates that I had hidden in my closet. I opened the box and ate the bonbons. They were delicious.
Anyway, I guess everything will be fine between Molly and me. I wish things had turned out differently, but for now – we’ll just be friends.

OMG. first, roberta, you need to watch your back, cause sparky was already pretty mad. and you were probably the worst friend EVER 2 molly and alex, and alex might get tramatic stress disorders related to this.
molly. you need 2 seriously think about ur feelings towards alex. some times, what you think is a crush is actually just friendship, and what u think is friendship is a crush. and you kinda broke alex’s heart.
alex. u r so brave. it might have been so much worse though. but just practice chivalry to her, and just b the sweet tiger we all know u r, and maybe, one day…
