Millie’s Mismatched Room

Millie Pig is Molly’s adorable little sister. Even though she’s only five, she’s got a discerning eye for detail. When she asked for Elwin and I to redecorate, we were only too happy to oblige! Her old room was really too babyish for her. She needed a definite upgrade – something more fun, funky and definitely more pink and light green (her favorite colors).  She also requested ‘something with flowers’ – no problem, Millie! We’ve got you covered!

Yup, this is definitely too baby-ish for a five-year-old.

Here’s what we came up with!

The walls are pretty and pink, Millie’s huge book collection has a home on her bookshelf. The walls are a pale pink, and have butterflies in the corners. When Millie asked for flowers, we went a little over-the-top – and added tons of blooms to her room! We’ve got a little makeup mirror for playing pretend, and all of Millie’s toys are hidden in her toy box. When Millie saw her room, she couldn’t believe the change. “It’s SO BEAUTIFUL!” she said. And the best part is that this room will grow with Millie.

    Cute room. Poor grammar.
Please fix: “When she asked for Elwin and I to redecorate, we were only too happy to oblige!”
Should have ‘for Elwin and me” , not “for Elwin and I”, as being the object of ‘for’ means that one must use the objective case pronouns, such as us and me. It would be great if you could fix this. Thanks so much.

Good call! I noticed that too! They had to fix the spelling in the Cinnamon Dachshund, too. They originally spelled it as the Cinnamon Dashund, which is WAY wrong! They ALSO spelled the Small Signature German Shepherd wrong! They spelled it as the German Shepperd, which is also WAY wrong! Are they really that bad at spelling? They are adults! Plus, we have dictionary web sites that can tell whether or not a word is spelled correctly!

Sorry, I am pretty sure that they were correct. My mom ( an accountant who if she used poor grammar she would be fired) always says that you don’t say —— and me are going to the mall. She says you always say, —– and I are going to the mall. —– and me is tottaly wrong in California, our school should know because we are the best behaved and have the hightest scores in test in our county! -Silverstar****

i think the bed is a little old for her, other than that any 5 year old would love it. Great job!

the second one looks to grown up, the first one is perfect.

I think it’s still mismatched. Change the bed

I think the first room is not babyish for a five year old. In fact it looks perfect for her. They said that they added “tons” of flowers to her second room, but I only see 3. There is also only a little bit of green.

Very cute and unique on the second one. The first one has too many different colors.
