Stoogles Birthday

It’s Salley. Stoogles party is going really well and everyone is having so much fun, but there is something that’s kind of bothering me.

There is a TON of food here. Googles really do know how to throw a party. The problem is that they have plastic plates, cups and cutlery. Do you have any idea how bad all that stuff is for the environment? It practically never decomposes. If they HAD to go with disposable plates and stuff (which I really wish they didn’t) couldn’t they have chosen biodegradable ones that would break down eventually? And straws! We don’t need straws!

Not only that, but there are so many of us all dancing around and eating and drinking that this stuff is getting knocked all over the ground and danced on and crushed. Everywhere I look around this party it seems like there’s litter!

And there is way too much food here for all of us too! So I asked Stoogles what was going to happen to all of the leftover food and he was like “Oh, that? I guess we’ll just chuck it.” Chuck it? What a waste! And they have these colored lights up everywhere even though it’s the middle of the day!

I said to Cowabelle and Roberta that I thought this party was really a drain on the environment and you know what Cowabelle called me? A party pooper! And Roberta said that I was supposed to be Stoogles’ best friend and this was a funny way to show it. Just because someone is my best friend does that mean I have to ignore it when they decide to trash the planet?

Everyone cleans up in the end, so why you got to worry so much? This is a PARTY, so you should have fun, not worry about the grass and stuff. No one likes a party-popper Sally, so just cut loose! :)

Salley – I see you point, but it is your friend’s party, so perhaps what you can do is set a good example with the parties you throw, offer to help next time so you can make environmentally friendly suggestions, and perhaps offer to help with the cleanup … Good luck! All the best! MDIChickadee

“Stoogles party is going really well…” present tense? how does she find the time or computer to write this in her blog? that isn’t rude to leave the party or anything…

Honey, I’m sorry, but I think you just need to know that although it is good of you to try to be environmentally responsible, there is certainly a point where it goes over the top. You can’t control everything, and while it’s good to try to be a positive influence on the world around you, the only thing you are in charge of and the only thing you need to hold yourself accountable for is yourself and your own actions. So keep on keeping on in trying to be responsible for yourself, but let Stoogles enjoy his birthday and don’t worry so much. Also, one way you can help with this situation would be to stay a little late after the party and help Stoogles and his parents pick up the mess on the floor. Make sure the lights get unplugged and the food gets cleaned up. Ask if Stoogles’ family is going to use the leftovers (ask his parents, they will know) and then offer to box up and deliver the extras to a local food pantry or an elderly couple who would appreciate it. Good luck!

Another very good reason why I will NEVER like Cowabelle. She’s just so rude and childish. But don’t go overboard sally. Let Stoogles be for now, don’t go crazy. Just enjoy yourself and let Stoogles enjoy his birthday. But I do agree with you on the littering, I have a few ideas to help : 1)convince Stoogles to give the leftover food to a soup kitchen( they could use a little treat for their dinner), 2)gather all of your friends and clean up the forest (you could bring lemonade and water fans and even a radio to make it fun), 3)try and suggest to stoogles a few eco friendly paper plate brands without seeming rude. Hope my ideas help! :) love ameliabedelia6

That is bad for the Environment, I totally agree with you there Salley. But! This is a PARTY! There’s ALWAYS waste and things like that at a PARTY! I seriously think you’re overdoing things. ♥

Sorry Salley, I have to agree with Stoogles. You are a party pooper. I mean, why don’t you just ignore your Environment Tactics for 1 day and enjoy the party? No offense, but… ~CC~

Oh, dear. You were a bit overdoing it, but why chuck the food? Or dance on food and trash? You were right. Anyways, don’t listen to what Cowabelle said.

I agree with FLW. Seriously, Salley? He was having the time of his life and you were mad about it. You even wanted to give him an enviromentally-friendly gift!!! I wouldn’t want THAT for MY birthday! Roberta is right. Salley isn’t on the perfect ‘Kinz list anymore. Only Molly and Polly and Dacey and OF COURSE Roberta are! Oh, and Alex and Sparky! Who will be eliminated—–NEXT? *~Ruchirock~*

Salley, calm down!!!!!! Hey you didn’t tell us that the party was today! nor did you tell us what gift you ended up giving him. I do agree with you on one thing……….. they’re not even gonna save the left-overs! That is a HUGE waste. There are people starving. But, if Stoogles hadn’t bought all of the cups and stuff, it may not have been used at all. At least it got Some use out of it.
