Wow! What an awesome birthday party! All my friends were there and as always the Googles put on a massive spread. Googles’ parties are THE BEST! I got so many great presents for my birthday – I sure am one lucky guy!
But this birthday was extra special because this was the year that I got my birthstone pendant. A birthstone pendant is a very precious rite of passage to Googles. When you receive your birthstone pendant it means that you have reached the age where you can appreciate the true value of being a Googles (of course I have always known how awesome it is to be a Googles!)
And the best part of all is that MY birthstone is the coolest – the Diamond! (Sorry – I’m sure all of your birthstones are totally awesome too, but hello? It’s a DIAMOND!!)
At my party, we all had some cake and I opened my presents, and then my mom and dad called me up to the front. Everyone got really quiet then because the Birthstone Pendant Ceremony is a really solemn thing. My mom and dad said that just like a diamond is precious and rare, I am a unique and precious being that they will treasure always (hey, what can I say?) and then my mother placed the pendant around my neck.
Then everybody let out a loud cheer and all the Googles rushed up to the front and lifted me up on their shoulders and carried me around. It was so much fun! This was the best birthday I’ve had since I turned six and laughed so hard milk came out of my nose!
This is so adorable. I love Stoogles, he’s got personality (and, ok, cause he’s a googles). But that’s so cool that googles get a pendent for their 13th birthday as a rite of passage into Googliness. My pink googles needs a pendent even though she’s only 7; hers would be alexandrite since I got her in June. I’ll have to deisign one- it’ll be shaped like a Goo Goo Berry of course xD
The jewelry itslef is amazing but I was disappointed to see that the birthstones were not in the order that I had request. I emailed them the order I wanted the birthstones in and I got an okay on it. So now I’m sitting here prying all the jumprings and re-ordering them. I would have given them a 5 if they decided to listen to me. So be ready to do some work if you want the birthstones in the right order!
I had no idea IsthataFact. So I guess my birthstone isn’t an Alexandrite. Its just a pearl. Is it that way for other months with 2 gems? *Your friend Orange Starburst,*
