Calling for Rain
Salley Cat here. Oh no! Oh no, oh no, oh no!!! After all of our planning and hard work – oh, you are never going to believe this! I just checked the weather reports and on Saturday in Kinzville they’re calling for rain! And not a little rain – it’s going to be, like, major thunderstorms! OH NOOOOOO! Okay, I have put in a call to Stoogles and Purr-cilla (I’m sure she will say she knew all along that it was going to rain and that if she had been president this never would have happened!) so we can come up with a backup plan. I’ve been thinking – a lot of the games can be set up in the auditorium if we clear away the chairs. And maybe, just maybe, we can set up the slide and the bumper cars in the gym. We could hold the cupcake contest judging in one of the classrooms. I still have to clear that with Ms. Cowoline though. But I am almost positive that there is no way we can get the Mine Cart ride into the school. And I’m also sure no one will be … Read more

Cowabelle’s Hula Hoop Game
Cowabelle here with the easiest fair game EVER! All you need are some hula hoops and some participants! What you need: Hula hoops, participants (one per hoop) What you do: Have everyone get into hula-hooping position. Yell “Start!” and everyone should start hooping. As players drop their hoops, they’re out. The last player still spinning their hoop is the winner! If you have a group of hooping experts, you can always challenge them to go faster or slower and see if they can keep their hoops moving!
Purr-cilla’s Cat Cupcake
Well, of course I am going to make the most awesome creature ever for my cupcake – a cat! What you need: – cupcake – white icing – marshmallows – coconut flakes – pink Smarties – chocolate chips What you do: Ice your cupcake and cover it with coconut flakes. Cut a thin circle off each end of a marshmallow to make your cat’s cheeks. Set the circles side by side at the bottom half of the top of your cupcake and press a pink Smartie in between them at the top to form a nose. Cut another marshmallow in half lengthwise and then cut one half diagonally to form two ears and affix them to the top of your cat’s ‘face’. Add two chocolate chips for eyes and your cute kitty cupcake is ready!
Sparky’s Craft

I love keeping everything organized – that’s why I decided to make custom binder clips! Check them out! What you need:Binder clips, craft glue, fabric pieces, stickers, scrapbooking paper What you do: If you want to cover your clip with scrapbooking paper or fabric, measure it first and figure out how much you need. Cut it to fit. Spread a thin layer of glue all over your binder clip and stick the fabric or paper onto it. Let it dry. If you want to cover your clip with stickers, stick them on in an interesting pattern! You can always add embellishments with ribbons or permanent markers! I heard Molly say that she wanted to buy some clips, so I made a few with flowers and ribbon on them – I hope she buys them! I could use some KinzCash.
What about Millie?
School Council Minutes Taken by: Stoogles In Attendance: Salley, Purr-Cilla, Stoogles, Molly So today there was an emergency meeting of the School Council called about an issue regarding the fall fair. Molly showed up at school this morning all agitated and said she needed to talk to us. It turns out that Millie had seen one of our posters around Kinzville and got really excited about the fair. She couldn’t wait to find out from Molly about all the cool stuff that would be there. Problem was, when Molly told her, Millie said that some of the rides sounded kind of scary and that she wouldn’t win anything because she wouldn’t be any good at the games. So Molly asked us if we’d given any thought to what sort of entertainment we were planning for little kids. Purr-cilla piped up and said she knew all along this fair wasn’t being run properly and if she had been president she would have totally planned loads of fun activities for little kids. WHAT??? She has been part of the planning from day one and she has never said a thing about any of that! … Read more

Lucky Ducky Fall Fair Game
Molly here with a really easy game – even Millie might win a prize from this one! What you need: tub of water, lots of rubber ducks, dice, permanent marker, colored markers, large paper, prizes What you do: Fill the tub with water (always make sure babies and toddlers stay away from the tub!). On the bottom of each duck, write a number between 1-6. On the large paper, write the numbers 1-6. Beside each number, write the name of a prize. Roll a die (that’s one dice). Whatever number comes up is the lucky number. Have players pick ducks from the tub until someone gets the lucky number. Look on the chart to see which prize they should get. At the end of a turn, have the players put the ducks back into the tub and mix them around. Then play again until all the prizes are gone!
