Spring Break Surprise
Dear Students,  Since it’s the last day before our spring break, and I know it can be rather…difficult…to focus on one’s studies, I am pleased to announce a surprise! This afternoon, we will be having a fun fair in the gym and cafeteria! Each student will get to choose four stations to visit. You may choose to learn about fashion, music, games, cooking, arts and crafts, automobile repair, magic, or television production! We’ve got some expert teachers visiting us, including Persephone, Chef Gazpacho, and the always delightful Fred Rover.   Here you can learn about automotive repair, arts and crafts, games and cooking!      And here’s the place to learn about music, magic, fashion and TV production!   This is a wonderful way to broaden your horizons, and maybe even learn something about a topic you’re unfamiliar with. The gym and cafeteria have been completely made over – I doubt you’ll recognize them! I do hope you have a wonderful time and a very safe and happy spring break. Â
The Designer Elephants redo Meriwether St. Bernard’s Kitchen
Good day, readers. I recently approached these two young designers in Kinzville about redecorating my kitchen. While my old kitchen was lovely, I felt that it just wasn’t really functional for me. I really needed more workspace for cooking and baking and I didn’t need quite such a large table. I already have a beautiful dining room for larger gatherings and in the kitchen I could do with a smaller table for more casual family gathering. I also decided that, much as I love the teacup motif, I would make a generous donation of my Teacup Fountain and Treadmill to the Teacup Exhibit at the St Bernard Gallery of Fine Arts. It seems so unfair that I should be the only one to get to enjoy these fine pieces. So I hired the young elephants to redecorate for me. I explained that I needed a large work area in the kitchen, and that keeping my sewing table was a must. I also needed a table big enough to seat my close family but not one that takes up the whole room! I also thought a reading nook might be nice. But the one thing … Read more

A Sweet Recipe
Hello friends! It’s me, Chef Gazpacho. I’m working really hard to make Plumpy’s engagement brunch a really special event. I think I’m going to make a very tasty treat that all Webkinz love – Forsty Benumblex. How does one make Forsty Benumblex? Well, I can’t tell you –it’s a secret!  What I CAN tell you, though, is that I’m going to have to find someplace cold to keep my ingredients!  Another thing I should do is make sure my blender is in good working order.  This is going to be the BEST brunch I’ve ever planned. I think most of Kinzville will be in attendance, so I’ve got to impress!  What’s your favorite recipe to make? I’m always looking for inspiration! Â
Molly: excited about the Big City, Cowabelle: NOT
Ugh. It’s me, Cowabelle. Roberta and I are planning the most awesome sleepover WITHOUT Molly. And do you know why? Did you hear that Polly invited Molly to go to the Big City with her for Spring Break? What is THAT all about? I mean, nothing against Molly – she is one of my best friends, you know? But why should SHE have all the fun? I would love to go to the Big City! I would be perfect in the Big City. I happen to be a very well-educated, cultured cow, you know. I mean, my mom is the principal of the school here. And as the daughter of a school principal I am very knowledgeable. I just know they are going to do all sorts of fun stuff and see all these cool things while I am stuck back here in Kinzville. Don’t get me wrong – I love Kinzville. But we’re talking about the Big City. Couture shopping, sophisticated entertainment, fancy restaurants. I think that was pretty unfair of Polly, don’t you? She could at least have let us draw straws or something.
Ella interviews Kinzville residents about spring
Ella McWoof here. It seems like spring is just around the corner here in Kinzville. Birds are singing, the sun is shining, and the snow is starting to melt. With spring in the air I thought now would be the perfect time to interview a few residents of Kinzville about what it is that they like best about spring. EM: Here’s Molly out enjoying this lovely day. Molly, what is your favorite thing about spring? Molly: Well, I guess this year it would be Spring Break because I just got some awesome news – Polly has invited me to go with her family to the Big City! EM: That is exciting, Molly! And how about your friend, Sparky? Sparky, can you tell us your favorite thing about spring? Sparky: Well, I never really thought about it before but I guess I like St. Patrick’s Day because it is all about luck. I never really believed in lucky charms before, but Stoogles gave me this magic stone and I think it might actually be bringing me good luck! EM: Okay, Sparky. Well, that is certainly – um – different. Here’s Nibbles. Nibbles, I’ll bet I … Read more
Craft: Butterfly Wreath
Spring is in the air! It was so warm outside today – and the air smells so good. I can’t wait until the flowers start to blossom and the butterflies start flying! To get a bit of a jump on the season, here’s a beautiful butterfly wreath you can make for your front door!  What you need: Pipe cleaners (10), tissue paper, rhinestones, paint, cardboard wreath-shape or wreath form What you do: Take a rectangle of tissue paper and wrap the pipe cleaner around the tissue paper, securing it by twisting the two ends together (making two antennae). Paint dots on the wings. Make a whole bunch of butterflies and glue them to a wreath form, or a round piece of cardboard with the middle cut out. Hang on your door!
Chef Gazpacho’s Fabulous Fruit Salad
It is I, Chef Gazpacho. As you know, I’ve been working hard on Plumpy’s engagement brunch. It’s going to be such a delicious event! One of the tastiest (and healthiest) recipes I’m going to be making is fruit salad. Here’s my recipe!        What you need: (This recipe serves four) Large bowl, ½ cup each of: strawberries, grapes, raspberries, blueberries (all washed and patted dry), tangerine wedges, peach slices, cream cheese, ½ cup icing sugar, 1 cup whipped cream  What you do: In the bowl, layer the fruits. In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, icing sugar and whipped cream. This makes a nice dressing for the fruit salad. Serve the fruit salad in fancy dishes and put a dollop of the dressing on top. Enjoy!
