One Snowy Sunday
You’ll never believe what a crazy day it’s been! Right now, I’m stuck at my buddy Alex’s house. I’ve been here for…let’s see…twelve hours! And I’m likely to be here for another twelve. Why? The snow! It’s really insane outside. It looks like someone shook a snow globe too hard. I called my parents, but the line was really scratchy. My mom said to stay put and that she’d send Uncle Arte to get me in the morning – he’s the bravest member of our family! For now, I’m pretty happy to be at Alex’s. His mom made us a delicious dinner, and his dad said we could play video games for an hour!
Cowabelle’s Snowy Day
Dear Diary, Today was the craziest day ever! It all started with me and getting ready to head over to the soup kitchen (I’m volunteering there every Sunday afternoon). I peeked out the window and noticed it was snowing. The weatherman said we were going to get snow, so I wasn’t too surprised. I put on all my winter clothes and told Mom I was going to head out. She wasn’t very happy to hear that. She said that the snow had really piled up, and that the sidewalks were going to be slippery. I assured her that I’d be careful. I just HAD to get to the soup kitchen! As soon as I opened our front door, I started to question my decision. The wind was SO cold…and the snow! The snow was whipping from every direction. It was intense! I walked down our driveway, and got as far as the end of the block when I realized: I really couldn’t see anything. There was so much snow falling that I could barely make out the other side of the road. It was totally unsafe (I couldn’t really tell if a … Read more

Alex’s Resolution
To: April Keymon From: Alex Tiger  Subject: Snow!  Dear April,  Know how I said that my resolution this year was going to be the discovery of a new plant or rock, but I think that might have to wait until spring. It’s really hard to find plants and rocks under a foot of snow! Speaking of snow, they said there’s a big storm on the way for Kinzville. They’re saying that we could get anywhere from a few inches (if the storm misses us, mostly), or up to three feet! That would REALLY make to find plants or rocks, huh? I hope you’re having a great new year so far. We’ve got a winter fun day coming up at school, so that’ll be good. We should get together sometime soon and go sledding! That would be incredibly fun!  Your pal,  Alex
Purr-Cilla’s (brilliant) Plan!
Hey everyone, Purr-Cilla here. I’m about to go into a Student Council meeting. I’m going to propose a new idea for our spring field trip – not the same old `let’s visit the park and have a picnic’ nonsense. Nope! This year, I want to do something big and important. Maybe a trip to Northern Webkinz World? Or Southern Webkinz World! Or even to the Big City. Imagine it! The shopping…the theaters…the restaurants! It’s the perfect idea, and I bet everyone will be a lot more excited about THAT then about one more lame game of touch football. Let’s see if I can get my idea across – and start my plan for taking over the Student Council!
Craft: Yearlong scrapbook
I love keeping a scrapbook of all the fun things I do in a year. And what better time to start a craft like this then in January? Here’s how you do it: What you need: Fourteen pieces of scrapbook paper, markers, fancy paper, scissors, glue stick  What you do: Staple the fourteen pieces of scrapbook paper together. The front sheet is the cover page, the back sheet is the back cover. At the top of each page, write the names of the months, starting with January. During each month, make little notes or paste little mementos from that month on the page. At the end of the year, you’ll have a record of all the things you did!
