Oh my gosh! It’s Cowabelle and I just heard the most exciting news ever!!! Dacey called and told me that she is coming to town because she is going to be one of the judges on ‘Kinzville Sings’! ‘Kinzville Sings’ is the most awesome singing contest EVER and they’re holding auditions! Anyone can try out! ‘Kinzville Sings’ is my favorite show. It’s so crazy – all of these singers get up on stage and perform. Some of them really can’t sing at all, but some of them are amazing! If they pick you then you get to go on TV and perform in front of the judges!  There’s a whole panel of judges and they watch the singers and then choose the best ones to make it through to the final. And the audience gets to vote too! And in the end the winner of the whole contest gets a recording contract and gets to go on tour. This is like my dream come true! I am going to audition for ‘Kinzville Sings’ and I just know I am going to knock the judges’ socks off!  Wish me luck!

Hey, it’s Molly and the plans for Polly’s surprise party are going really well! I don’t think she suspects a thing! The only problem is that we couldn’t decide what kind of cake to make. We all want something different. Alex said that girls like flowers so we should have a cake with flowers on it. Way to stereotype, Alex! Stoogles says that he is a traditionalist and that a plain old birthday cake with her name on it is all we need. You know how crafty Roberta can be? Well, she wants to design a cake with Polly’s face on it. Sounds complicated. And Nibbles and I both love cupcakes. Aren’t cupcakes always better than cake? So we thought the best thing to do would be to go off in pairs and come up with a cake design. Then we could choose our favorite design and make that one.               We’re going to need lots of tasty snacks for Polly’s surprise party so Stoogles came up with these delicious roll-up sandwiches. What you need: -          Flour tortillas -          Thinly-sliced roast beef -          Thinly-sliced Swiss cheese -          Lettuce -          1 tomato, finely chopped -          Mayonnaise -          Dijon mustard -          Toothpicks -          An adult assistant What you do: Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on flour tortilla. Place a layer of sliced roast beef on top, followed by a layer of sliced cheese. Top with lettuce and a sprinkling of chopped tomatoes. Starting at one end of tortilla, roll up tightly and then secure with a toothpick. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Before serving, unwrap and cut in half. Polly is going to love these sandwiches almost as much as she likes having a surprise party thrown for her!
