Henrietta’s Visit with Fluffington

Oh, dear. What a day! I had to pay a visit to my old friend, Fluffington, today and not just for pleasantries. Fluffington is having a bit of a stressful holiday season this year. He decided that he would throw a huge Christmas party at his mansion. Which would have been perfectly fine – he did exactly the right thing, and instead of trying to take on too much himself, he hired others to help out. For instance, he asked Hailey and Elwin to help with his holiday decorating and he hired Chef Gazpacho to prepare some special foods. It all seemed well in hand. The problem is – Fluffington can be a bit of a control freak and he has very particular ideas about how he likes things done. And his ideas can be little bit, how shall we say, grand? I swear, I don’t think anything less than solid gold decorations and 100KC an ounce caviar would have pleased him. Of course, the designers and chef that he hired had different ideas, like creating a fun atmosphere that would be welcoming and appealing to everyone, not just Fluffington and his … Read more
Roberta Rabbit: SO Annoyed!

It seems sometimes you don’t really know who your friends are until you try to make them something for Christmas! I am extremely annoyed with Cowabelle right now. She was SO down on the fact that I’m making my gifts this year. What’s wrong with being crafty? Would she rather get something from the W Shop that ANYONE could buy? Well, actually, don’t answer that. I know the answer is yes. I just really wanted to make this year special, but I don’t feel very much like crafting today. Hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow.
Cowabelle’s Letter to SantaKinz: No Stamps for You!

I am SO mad right now! So, remember how my list to SantaKinz was super-mega-long? Well, my mom had a super-mega fit when she saw it. She said I was being WAAAY too greedy, and that SantaKinz wouldn’t look favorably on a list that long. I told her that we’d let SantaKinz be the judge of that, but she refused to let me send it. Little does she know, I’m going to pick up some stamps with my allowance, so ha! Also, I was telling Roberta all about the gifts I thought she could get me this year (I picked some less expensive ones because she’s short on KinzCash) and she said – get this – that she’s MAKING all the gifts herself! Can you believe it?! Who does that? It’s so easy to just pop by the W Shop or the Curio Shop and get something. I’ve already got HER gift, and I definitely did NOT make it myself. I just feel like store-bought gifts are more special than something you make yourself. ANYONE can make a gift. To get something from the store, you have to save up. I … Read more
Roberta’s Homemade Holidays: Decision Cube

Well, even though I’m not done all of my OTHER projects, I’ve got to forge ahead! Today I’m going to be making a very special gift for my BFF Cowabelle. She’ll get a picture frame like everyone else, of course, but she’s also going to get something SUPER awesome. A decision cube (Cowabelle can never choose what to get for lunch at the cafeteria. I figure a decision cube will save us all a lot of time). What you need: Smallish square box or wooden block, paper, scissors, craft glue, markers, colored duct tape (optional) What you do: Measure a side of your cube. Cut out six squares of this size from your paper. Write “Yes!” “Definitely” “No” “Not Sure” “Maybe” and “Ask Later” on the paper (one phrase per paper square). Glue your paper squares to your cube (one square per side). You can secure the sides with colored duct tape, if you like. When the glue is dry, ask your cube a question and give it a toss to find out the answer!
Molly’s Family Christmas

You’ll never believe what happened yesterday. I’m still having a tough time believing it myself. It all started when Millie and I got home from school. Millie was babbling about wanting me to play with her dolls and then finger paint and who knows what else, and I just wanted to sit down and chill for a bit. I tried to hide out in the kitchen, but my mom was waiting for us. She had a big mug of hot chocolate and a plate of cookies for each of us – that should’ve been my first clue that something was up. Mom is definitely NOT OK with us eating cookies before dinner. Anyway, Millie and I sat down and enjoyed our snack – and then mom decided to spring the news on us. Our family – our ENTIRE family – is coming to spend Christmas with us. Now, I know SOME ‘Kinz who would be super-excited about that. But the thing is, I’ve got twenty-five relatives on my mom’s side. Twenty-five. And our house really isn’t that big. Plus, some of my relatives are just…awful. Like my twin cousins, Bobby and Robby. And … Read more

Stoogles’ Unhappy Holidays

Know what I love about December? A few things, actually. I LOVE the snowy weather, I LOVE the Googles Christmas party, and I love Christmas. Not this year though. This year, everything is ruined. Why? Because of my ex-best-friend Salley Cat. She decided that instead of staying with her friends and her mom in Kinzville, she’s going to take off to West Kinzville and spend Christmas with her dad. How selfish! She NEVER does that! She always comes to the Googles Christmas party with me and we have a great time. I go to her house on the day before Christmas and we play in the snow and make gingerbread houses. And this year, I get to do NONE of that. All because she’s packing her bags. Sometimes I wonder why we were even friends at all. She’s ruined my entire Christmas season.
More Shopping with Cowabelle!

So I went into the Curio Shop today with my mom and Sparky was there working. I figured it would be as good a time as any to drop a few hints about what he could get me for Christmas, but he just seemed completely distracted. Every time I tried to subtly point out something super cool, he was looking past me at something else in the shop. Um, hello? How is he ever going to know what I really want if he doesn’t LISTEN? I mean, I’m only trying to help him out, you know? Imagine if he just had to figure out for himself what to get me for Christmas? What if he got me something I didn’t like? Ugh! I think I was being really thoughtful trying to give Sparky some inspiration and he clearly didn’t appreciate it. What could be more important than choosing the right gift for your friends anyway? I wonder what could have been such a big deal that he didn’t want to hear about what I wanted for Christmas.
Roberta’s Homemade Holidays: Picture Frames

Today, I decided I’d work on the ‘Kinz gifts. Everyone is going to get the same thing, because honestly – this is taking a lot of time! But I’m going to customize each one, so even though they’re the same, they’re different! What am I talking about? Pictures! And picture frames. This is what you need: Paper shapes, small jewels, wooden craft sticks, cardboard or cardstock, craft glue, picture of your friends What you do: Glue the wooden craft sticks into a rectangular shape. Glue a piece of cardboard or cardstock on three sides on the back (leave the top open). When the glue is dry, decorate the front of the frame with the paper shapes (I used flowers) and jewels. You can add all sorts of other stuff, if you like (buttons, glitter – whatever you think looks awesome). When that glue is dry, slip a picture of your friends into your frame. You can also add ribbon to the back, if you want your friends to hang this up. Otherwise, you can add a cardboard triangle to the back to help it stand up.

Sparky Helps Out

I went over to the Curio Shop right after school today to help out. With Christmas coming up I am trying to get as many hours in at the Curio Shop as possible. I was having a great afternoon. With everyone getting ready for Christmas Uncle Arte’s shop has been packed. The thing is, I hadn’t mentioned to Uncle Arte that I had failed my math test yesterday. I mean, I guess I was going to tell him at some point. I’m just not sure when exactly I was planning to do that. These things take time, you know? I was just helping Dr. Quack wrap up a present for a ‘certain someone’ (what the heck does that mean, anyway) when I heard the bell over the door ring and when I looked around, I saw Ms. Cowoline walked in the door with Cowabelle. Can you say Panic Stations? The last thing I needed was for Ms. Cowoline to start chatting with Uncle Arte and spill the beans about the test. I rushed over to try and intercept her, but then Cowabelle kept pestering me questions about this item and that. Every time … Read more
Fluffington’s Tasting

Chef Gazpacho here, and boy am I mad! As you all know, I’m one of Webkinz World’s finest chefs. I’ve had years of training and experience – and my dishes are, without a doubt, delicious. Fluffington asked me to cook for his Christmas day extravaganza. I agreed, and we had the tasting today. I made up all the dishes I was planning to cook for the big day, and Fluffington tasted each one. And hated them. All of them. He said my Ophidian Callaloo was salty, my Squishadish was under-flavored, and my Wozzled Elphinda was too sweet. Really? REALLY!? Because everyone at my restaurant thinks they’re all wonderful. Anyway, as you can imagine, I wasn’t very happy. I packed up my things and left. I don’t know who’s going to be making Fluffington’s special meals, but I’ll tell you one thing: it won’t be me!
Sparky’s Test

Uh oh. It’s Sparky and today is not my day. I just got my math test back and it was not good. I flunked it! I can’t believe it! I’m usually pretty good at math, so I just didn’t think I needed to bother studying. Also, I have got a lot of stuff to do. I mean, I’ve got to earn some money right now so I can get Uncle Arte a really awesome gift. I don’t even know why Ms. Cowoline is giving us tests in December. Doesn’t she know that nobody is thinking about school right now? Christmas is coming! Of course, it didn’t help that Alex got an A+ on his test. Not that he would ever brag about it or anything but I saw it when Ms. Cowoline handed it back to him. I don’t know what to do. I have to go help out at the Curio Shop tomorrow, but if Uncle Arte finds out about my test he is not going to be pleased. I think I’ll just shove it in the bottom of my backpack and forget about it for now. Uncle Arte never has to know.
Molly’s Great Idea

Hey! It’s me, Molly. Millie and I have had a long day and I am exhausted! What started out as a small project turned into a major undertaking. I found out that there was a Kinzville toy drive and asked my mom if she would take us to the W Shop and let us choose some gifts that we could give away to kids who are less fortunate than us. I have some KinzCash saved up from my allowance and I thought this would be a pretty good way to spend it. My mom loved the idea and then she said that if any of my friends wanted to donate too, she could drive over and pick up the toys and deliver them to the toy drive. Isn’t that a great idea? So I sent out an email to my friends telling them what I had in mind and the response I got was overwhelming! Almost all of my friends said that they would donate at least one toy to the toy drive. I made a list of everyone who wanted to donate and told them that we’d be there … Read more
