Sparky Helps Out
I went over to the Curio Shop right after school today to help out. With Christmas coming up I am trying to get as many hours in at the Curio Shop as possible. I was having a great afternoon. With everyone getting ready for Christmas Uncle Arte’s shop has been packed. The thing is, I hadn’t mentioned to Uncle Arte that I had failed my math test yesterday. I mean, I guess I was going to tell him at some point. I’m just not sure when exactly I was planning to do that. These things take time, you know? I was just helping Dr. Quack wrap up a present for a ‘certain someone’ (what the heck does that mean, anyway) when I heard the bell over the door ring and when I looked around, I saw Ms. Cowoline walked in the door with Cowabelle. Can you say Panic Stations? The last thing I needed was for Ms. Cowoline to start chatting with Uncle Arte and spill the beans about the test. I rushed over to try and intercept her, but then Cowabelle kept pestering me questions about this item and that. Every time … Read more
Fluffington’s Tasting
Chef Gazpacho here, and boy am I mad! As you all know, I’m one of Webkinz World’s finest chefs. I’ve had years of training and experience – and my dishes are, without a doubt, delicious. Fluffington asked me to cook for his Christmas day extravaganza. I agreed, and we had the tasting today. I made up all the dishes I was planning to cook for the big day, and Fluffington tasted each one. And hated them. All of them. He said my Ophidian Callaloo was salty, my Squishadish was under-flavored, and my Wozzled Elphinda was too sweet. Really? REALLY!? Because everyone at my restaurant thinks they’re all wonderful. Anyway, as you can imagine, I wasn’t very happy. I packed up my things and left. I don’t know who’s going to be making Fluffington’s special meals, but I’ll tell you one thing: it won’t be me!
Sparky’s Test
Uh oh. It’s Sparky and today is not my day. I just got my math test back and it was not good. I flunked it! I can’t believe it! I’m usually pretty good at math, so I just didn’t think I needed to bother studying. Also, I have got a lot of stuff to do. I mean, I’ve got to earn some money right now so I can get Uncle Arte a really awesome gift. I don’t even know why Ms. Cowoline is giving us tests in December. Doesn’t she know that nobody is thinking about school right now? Christmas is coming! Of course, it didn’t help that Alex got an A+ on his test. Not that he would ever brag about it or anything but I saw it when Ms. Cowoline handed it back to him. I don’t know what to do. I have to go help out at the Curio Shop tomorrow, but if Uncle Arte finds out about my test he is not going to be pleased. I think I’ll just shove it in the bottom of my backpack and forget about it for now. Uncle Arte never has to know.
Molly’s Great Idea
Hey! It’s me, Molly. Millie and I have had a long day and I am exhausted! What started out as a small project turned into a major undertaking. I found out that there was a Kinzville toy drive and asked my mom if she would take us to the W Shop and let us choose some gifts that we could give away to kids who are less fortunate than us. I have some KinzCash saved up from my allowance and I thought this would be a pretty good way to spend it. My mom loved the idea and then she said that if any of my friends wanted to donate too, she could drive over and pick up the toys and deliver them to the toy drive. Isn’t that a great idea? So I sent out an email to my friends telling them what I had in mind and the response I got was overwhelming! Almost all of my friends said that they would donate at least one toy to the toy drive. I made a list of everyone who wanted to donate and told them that we’d be there … Read more
School Council Minutes
In attendance: Stoogles, Salley, Purr-Cilla Minutes: Because a certain Googles and certain Alley Cat can’t seem to see eye-to-eye on anything, I, Purr-Cilla, am writing these minutes. You’re welcome. First, I just want to say how completely ridiculous Stoogles and Salley are being. Like, really! What is up with those two? Just chill out and apologize. That’s coming from ME, queen of not apologizing. It’s just so insane. They’re not even speaking, as I take these minutes. Just glaring at each other. We’ve got to plan the holiday assembly and carol sing, but can I get them to agree on anything? NO! Well, I’m going to force them to talk and I’m going to write down, word-for-word, what’s said at this meeting. P- OK, Ms. President and Mr. Vice-President. Open your mouths and start talking. I’m not sitting here all lunch hour wasting my time if you’re just going to glare at each other. SC- Fine. We need to start planning the holiday assembly. P- Yes. Yes we do. What kind of songs should we sing? S- Who cares? Let’s just use the list from last year. SC- Oh, that’s really great. Really … Read more
Roberta’s Homemade Holidays: Desk Set
Welcome to my crafty workshop! Today, I’m working on my mom’s gift. She loves being crafty – I guess that’s where I get it from! Mom’s desk is ALWAYS messy, so I thought I could make her a desk set to help organize some of her stuff. Here’s how I did it: What you need: scrapbooking paper (three different patterns or colors works well – make sure they look good together), scissors, ruler, pencil, shoe box top, paper towel tube, small square box, paper cup, long rectangular box, double-sided tape, craft glue, stickers (optional) What you do: Cover the shoe box top in scrapbook paper. You don’t really need to do the bottom, but make sure you cover each side and the inside of the box top. Measure the paper so it’s large enough to fit around the outside of each of your containers. Cut it to fit. If you’re covering something like a drinking cup, you might find it easier to cover with strips, as opposed to larger pieces of paper. Strips work better since the cup is curved. Glue your paper in place. Add stickers, if you like. Make … Read more

Meriwether St. Bernard is Unimpressed
Why, I NEVER! I have no idea what put my nephew, Fluffington, in such a foul mood today, but I must say, I certainly was not going to remain there to be spoken to like that! I stopped by Fluffington’s for a quick visit to see how his plans for his big party were coming along. I was worried he had taken on a bit much. After all, he doesn’t have the same flair for entertaining that I have always had. Why, my parties have always been the talk of Kinzville. But then what does one expect from someone with my class and good taste? A focal point of MY parties has always been a display of my extensive tea cup collection. I just know that the citizens of Kinzville love the opportunity to admire my collection as much as I love showing them off. But I digress. When I arrived at Fluffington’s home, he seemed to be stumbling around the front yard, mumbling to himself. Personally, I found the decorations quite striking, but when I complimented him on them – why, he flew off the handle! He said that … Read more
Roberta’s Homemade Holidays: Headband
Hey friends! Today I’m working hard to finish two headbands for my cousins. I’m hoping they like them, because they definitely took me awhile to make! Want to make some yourself? Check out the instructions! What you need: Plastic headband, ribbon, craft glue, felt flower or brooch What you do: Glue one end of the ribbon to one side of the headband. When the glue is dry, wrap the headband entirely. Tuck the end of the ribbon out of the way and glue it in place. Let the glue dry. Glue on the flower or pin on the brooch.
Alex’s Secret Santa
Hey everyone. I have a question for you: what would you do if you had a friend that you really, really liked and you wanted to get her something special for Christmas, but you didn’t want her to know that you really, really liked her? Someone I know is having that exact problem. He’s trying to figure out a nice (but not too over-the-top) present to get for a girl that he thinks is really awesome. My friend is super shy, so he isn’t sure how to tell the girl he likes how special he thinks she is. OK fine. So the friend is me. It’s me. And I’m trying to figure out what to get for Molly. I think she’s so wonderful –she’s so smart and funny and pretty. I thought maybe I’d get her a hair clip, or some kind of pen…but those ideas sound pretty boring, right? Should I write her a poem? Maybe get her a box of chocolates? Forget the whole thing and just give her a candy cane? I need help, friends. What should I do?
Nibbles’ Bad News
It’s me, Nibbles and I am NOT having a good day! I just got home from school and heard Plumpy in the kitchen on the phone with someone. When I got closer I could tell that she was talking to our cousin, Ruby. I love Ruby but unfortunately we don’t get to see her all that often because she lives pretty far away. Usually at Christmas Ruby and her family come to Kinzville for the holidays, but that is not what it sounded like just now. I’m pretty sure that I heard Plumpy say that it would be really nice for us to have a change this year and see their part of Webkinz World. Oh no, it would not! That would NOT be nice at all! Don’t get me wrong. I would really like to visit Ruby’s house. Plumpy and I have talked about taking a trip there sometime. But not at Christmas! At Christmas I want to be at home in Kinzville with all my friends! And how is Santakinz supposed to know where to leave my presents if I’m not at home? This is really not good. And I … Read more
