Dear Diary,   Well, we had Millie’s birthday party today and I have to say: it went pretty well. Millie had fun (she said it was the best party she’d ever been to) and the other kids seemed to enjoy themselves. There were only a few minor incidents (of course).   The first one happened when I was wrapping Millie’s gift (a jewelry box). I was in a huge hurry (I had to help decorate and the kids were arriving in less than an hour)…and I dropped it. It fell to the floor and made kind of a ‘clunk’ noise. I didn’t think much of it, until I opened it and found the ballerina that was supposed to dance around lying on her side! I got out my craft glue and glued her back into place and hoped for the best.
