Molly’s Family Fun
Dear Diary, You’ll never believe how INSANE things are at my house today! My entire family has come for Thanksgiving (like they do every year) but this year? They seem even louder and crazier than usual! My twin cousins, Robby and Bobby, arrived and immediately started tormenting Millie. For some reason, they’re more interested in bugging her than me this year (hooray for me, boo for Millie). Millie ran and told my mom and Robby and Bobby got in trouble. That’s been happening all day long. I think Robby and Bobby have been grounded for about one hundred years in total. My little cousin Holly is so cute – she’s able to walk and even said “Molly” when I gave her a cookie. Isn’t that the cutest thing? Most of the family is watching football on TV right now, and my mom and grandma are in the kitchen cooking dinner. I think I’ll join them – I just heard Bobby and Robby say something about sprinkling the chips with hot sauce. Happy (early) Thanksgiving! Love, Molly
Nibbles’ Real Friends
Hey. I’ve kind of been keeping a low profile since I realized that Molly was right about Purr-Cilla using me for my pool. I mean, I just felt so stupid and I didn’t want Molly to say ‘I told you so’. My mom keeps asking what’s wrong because I told her just to tell my friends I’m not home. It’s just that I don’t want to invite Purr-Cilla and her friends in when they show up (which they do regularly, hoping to go for a swim) and I’m too embarrassed to see my other friends. But today my mom said enough was enough and that Molly had called on me several times and I was going to call her back. I took a deep breath and called her and you know what? She was awesome. She didn’t even mention Purr-Cilla. She just wanted to fill me in on her latest babysitting assignment. Apparently it went a lot better than the last time when Millie ran away. Finally I couldn’t stand it any more and told her how I overheard Purr-Cilla talking about me to her friends. She was so nice about it. She didn’t say ‘I told you so’ at … Read more
A Surprise for Molly
Well, I had just about the worst afternoon. Roberta and Nibbles and I looked all over Kinzville for Millie and there was no sign of her anywhere. Roberta and Nibbles were being so nice and telling me it was going to be okay, but I could tell they were really worried about Millie. Then, as we were walking into my backyard, we heard a voice coming from somewhere above us. We all stopped to listen. It sounded like Millie and it was coming from the tree house! I raced up the tree house ladder and peeked inside and there was Millie, sitting in a circle with her dolls and pouring them each a cup of tea from her toy teapot! I practically screamed “Millie!” at her in relief, and she just looked over as if nothing had happened and said “Oh, hi Molly!” “Where have you been?” I cried, and suddenly she seemed to recall that she was mad at me. Her face twisted into a grimace, she crossed her arms, turned her back on me and stated “This is my new home and you’re not welcome here.” I didn’t care if she was giving me the cold shoulder or … Read more
Molly’s Crisis
This is awful! I can’t believe that Millie actually ran away from home! Just because I tried to make her eat her carrots! I called Roberta and Nibbles and they are on their way over to help me try to find her. I feel sick – I never should have left her alone in her room when she was so upset, but how could I know she would run away? Roberta said that when they get here we are going to split up and go looking in all of Millie’s favorite places. But I’m not sure – maybe someone should stay here just in case Millie decides to come back? What if she never comes back? What will my parents do? No! That’s not going to happen, right? We’re going to find her! Right? Oh, this is just the worst thing that ever happened to me!
A Message from Millie
Oh no, oh no, oh no!!! This is not happening! Today my mother decided to use one of the babysitting coupons that I gave her for Mother’s Day so she could do some shopping and have lunch with Ms. Cowoline at Le Snout. We spent the morning playing checkers and coloring in Millie’s coloring books. It was all going just fine until lunchtime when I told Millie that she couldn’t have any ice cream until she finished her carrot sticks. I don’t know what the problem was because my mother does that all the time and Millie just eats the carrots. But for some reason when I told her to eat them she just folded her arms and said ‘no!’ I said fine and put away the ice cream and next thing I know she was having a full-out tantrum! I dragged her into her room and said she could come out when she calmed down. She stayed in there for a long time so I just read my book in my room. After a while I decided to check in on her and when I walked into the room, she was gone! She … Read more
Trip to the Big City: Who can’t go?
Well, this is just rotten. It’s Cowabelle here and I just found out that Roberta is not coming on the school trip! Can you believe it? And she’s not even upset about it! Her mom won tickets and a gift certificate to some big Baby Show that’s on that week and Roberta said she wants to go with her mom instead! Can you believe that? I think even her mother was shocked – she kept asking Roberta if she was sure, but Roberta is getting so excited about the new baby and she said could go to the Big City anytime but her mom’s not going to have a baby every day. Whatever. So I decided that since Roberta wasn’t going to come I should room with Molly instead. So I called her to tell her that and she was kind of weird about it. So I asked if she didn’t want to room with me and she said it wasn’t that. She said that both Salley and Polly had already asked if she could share a room with them and she didn’t know who to choose. I said I had the perfect solution – Salley and Polly could share … Read more
First Day of Auditions
Roberta here with some good news and some bad news. So today was the first day of the auditions for Kinzville Sings. A couple of our friends were auditioning so we all went out to the auditions to watch and give them our support. Cowabelle was one of the first to get called up. I was kind of worried about her because she wants this so badly I thought she might get nervous and mess up. But Cowabelle loves performing and I guess she doesn’t let the butterflies get to her because she got up on that stage and hit a home run. She looked confident and she didn’t hit a single wrong note. I was so proud of her. But then there’s the bad news. Because not too long after Cowabelle performed, Molly was called up on stage. Molly is an okay singer too but she hasn’t done as much performing as Cowabelle and I don’t know if she just got really nervous up there in front of everybody but, well, let’s just say it was not good. She kept forgetting the lyrics and when she did remember she never … Read more
Molly Pig: Future Superstar?
Dear Diary, Sometimes, I like having a little sister. Like when Millie is at school or asleep. Then she’s just great. Other times, however, I just really wish I was an only child. Like today. I’ve been SUPER excited about the Kinzville Sings contest coming up – I mean, really – it’s going to be the biggest thing that’s ever happened to Kinzville. I’m a pretty good singer, and an OK dancer. I thought that with a little practice, though, I could take it to the next level. So that’s what I tried (key word is ‘tried’) to do. Until Millie came along, that is. I was singing a song I had made up, and practicing dance moves that I had seen in a music video, when Millie marched into my room and told me to knock it off. I told her it was important to practice. She said that maybe I should practice outside because my singing was giving her a headache and my dancing sounded like a herd of buffalo. I told her she should mind her own business. One thing lead to another and we ended up yelling at each other. My mom was trying … Read more
Planning Polly’s Party
So I was meeting with the ‘Kinz today and I told them all that Polly’s birthday was on the 28th and they were just as excited as I was! They all want to help me plan her party! I didn’t mention that Polly said that she didn’t want a party, because really, who doesn’t want a party? So all the ‘Kinz said that they would help me with the party! Stoogles says he is going to choose the tunes for the party and Roberta said she would craft the invitations and some decorations. Cowabelle and Sparky are going to make the cake and Alex said that he will help Roberta put the decorations up. I am going to get cooking and make loads of food for the party. This is going to be so much fun. Polly will be so thrilled!
Roberta and Molly Decide
It’s Molly! Roberta came up with this great idea for our moms’ Mother’s Day gifts! It’s something that I know my mother will really love and I can actually afford it! We are going to make coupon books that our mother’s can use for babysitting. I am going to offer my babysitting services for my little sister, Millie, and Roberta is going to babysit her little brother or sister after her mom has the baby. Isn’t that such a great idea? And even though it doesn’t cost me anything, dealing with Millie can be a pretty big sacrifice sometimes so I really am giving my mother something from the heart! Roberta is awesome! I’m so glad she’s my friend. She’s going to make a great big sister.
Fancy Flower Sandwiches
Millie’s party is coming up really soon, so it’s time to start preparing the food and getting the decorations ready! Since it’s almost springtime, I figured I’d make some adorable flower sandwiches. They’re so easy to make – and very cute. Here’s what you do: Make your sandwich. Millie likes tuna salad and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so that’s what we’ll be having at her party. Cut the sandwich out with a cookie cutter. You’ll want to use a cookie cutter that doesn’t have any really small parts (it might rip the bread when you cut it out). Because I’m making flower sandwiches, I’m going to garnish the middle of the peanut butter and jelly ones with cherries, and the tuna ones with olives! Put the sandwiches in the fridge until it’s time for the party. Make sure to wrap them well!
Molly’s Valentine’s Day

This afternoon, we had our Valentine’s Day dance. It was actually a lot of fun! The ‘Kinz and I all just went as friends, no couples or anything. We ate SO many goodies (Nibbles felt pretty sick by the end of things) and danced a LOT! Ms. Cowoline made sure that most of the music was fast, but when one slow song came on, the ‘Kinz decided to dance to it –as a joke, of course. Salley and Stoogles did some kind of waltz, Roberta did a tap dance with Cowoline, Sparky and Nibbles just jumped up and down like maniacs – and then Alex asked me to dance. So we did. I think it would’ve been considered some kind of line dance. Anyway, it was a great time! I’m so glad I went, and so glad that Alex and I are still going to be friends. Tonight, I’m going to visit Salley for a girls’ night in – movies, popcorn, goodies – the works! Hope your Valentine’s Day is wonderful!
Alex’s Bad Day
Dear April, Today has not been the best day of my life. I was walking home from Sparky’s when I ran into Molly, who was walking home from Cowabelle’s. I said hi, and then she said, “Alex, we have to talk.” I wasn’t sure what we had to talk about, but we sat down on a bench and she said, “Alex, I like you.” And I couldn’t believe it! I was just about to say “I like you too, and I bought you those presents at Christmastime!” when she said, “As a friend. Just a friend.” And then I didn’t know what to say. She kept talking. “Roberta told me you were going to give me chocolates on Valentine’s Day, but I really don’t think you should. We’re just friends, and I’d like to keep it that way, at least for now. We’re young, we’ve got years ahead of us…” And I just nodded. She stuck out her hoof and I shook it. “Still pals?” she asked. And I just nodded again. She smiled and walked off. And me? I just sat there for awhile. But then, after realizing how cold I was, I … Read more
Molly Pig: Mortified

You’ll never believe what happened to me today. I was at Cowabelle’s house, working on a geography project with Cowabelle and Roberta. We were looking up facts about Kinzville, when all of a sudden Roberta asked this really random question. “What would you do if a boy liked you?” Cowabelle giggled, and then they got into this long conversation about which boys they like at school and which TV star is cutest and stuff like that. But me? I didn’t know what to say. I’ve never really thought about it, to be honest. When I didn’t answer, Roberta said, “What if a boy liked YOU, Molly?”And I said, “That would be OK, I guess.”And then Cowabelle started to laugh and she said, “Just tell her!”And I said, “Tell me what?”And they laughed some more and then guess what Roberta finally said? She found out that Alex Tiger likes me. AND he bought me chocolates for Valentine’s Day! Alex. Alex Tiger! My friend! I couldn’t believe it. I told her she must have her facts wrong, but she assured me that she was right. I quickly changed the subject and suggested that we get a snack. Roberta and Cowabelle didn’t … Read more
