Nibbles gets some bad news
Okay, be glad you’re not me, because my life just keeps getting worse. First, it looks like my sister, Plumpy, might abandon me. Now, it is almost absolutely for certain that my very best friend is definitely going to. I was over at Laurabeard’s house today when she got a letter from her brother, Dogbeard. He wrote to invite her to join him on a Webkinz Worldwide cruise that would last for months, if not longer. He said that they would have all sorts of exciting adventures and explore exotic, new places. Okay, don’t get me wrong. I know that sounds totally awesome, right? But Laurabeard is my best friend. The last thing I need right now is her taking off on some wild pirate voyage. And with Plumpy going off and getting married I need her support now more than ever. Nibbles Hippo: Nervous
Nibbles Hippo here with a bit of a problem. See, my big sister Plumpy got engaged. That’s totally great and everything. I really like Charles Rhineholt, and Plumpy is a lot older than me, so I kind of figured this might happen. But now, what’s going to happen to me? Right now, I live with Plumpy and her best friend, Wiggles. You’re probably wondering about my parents, right? Well, they’re scientists. They’ve been working on the KinzSpace Station for years – in fact, I haven’t even seen them for over a year, although they do call whenever they’re back on solid ground (and they email all the time). Their mission is supposed to be over at the end of this year, so I know they’re coming home soon. And…I guess that means I’ll live with them again. But what about their next mission? Will I have to move? I really wish I had some answers. I don’t want Plumpy to leave, but Charles travels all over Webkinz World. Nibbles Hippo: Filmmaker
Hey everyone, Well, my film is coming along pretty well. The only thing is, I’m not too happy about the fact that Cowabelle is probably going to enter as well. I don’t like the fact that I’m going to be competing against a friend. I also don’t like the fact that there’s a chance that Cowabelle’s film might be better than mine. I know that doesn’t sound very friendly, but it’s honestly how I feel. I was hoping I would be the only member of the ‘Kinz to enter, and then everyone could just be really happy for me if I won. Now, I’ll have to worry about my own film –and about Cowabelle’s.
Millie’s Snow Pig
My friend Molly’s little sister, Millie, wanted to appear in the Newz, so she decided to call me on the phone this morning. She said she had “breaking news” and that if I wanted to be a good reporter I should come over to her place. So I did. And guess what I saw? A cute little snow pig with pink cheeks! Millie made this ice sculpture and then used a plant misting bottle with water colored red with food coloring to add the pink cheeks! She just sprayed on the red water and voila – adorable! I’m not entirely sure this is ‘newsworthy,’ but it definitely is cute!

Molly’s Birthday Party: Part 1
Nibbles Hippo, reporting from Molly’s birthday party. I’d like to say that it’s been a huge success, but…that’s not entirely true. Here’s what’s happened so far: we all arrived here at 4:00, ready for some pizza and cake and games. When we first got here, we played truth or dare and some card games. And that was great. Until Millie came back from a play date with a friend. Millie noticed the card game and decided that SHE knew better about how to play. She grabbed the deck of cards and threw them up in the air, laughing as they fell. Molly yelled for her mom, and Millie was trotted upstairs. We went into the kitchen after a little while to get some drinks and pizza. When we got there, Molly’s mom said the pizza guy hadn’t come yet, but that we could help ourselves to chips and soda. Millie, however, had already been doing just that. She tasted all of the different potato chips. The ones she didn’t like, she spit out and put back in the bowl. Nibbles’ Worst Day
Ugh, you guys! Today has been the absolute worst. I didn’t even realize it was Friday the 13th until I got to school, but my bad luck started as soon as I woke up. Here’s what happened: I got out of bed and stubbed my toe on my night table. Plumpy told me that the hot water wasn’t working, so I had to have a cold shower. Let me tell you something that’s no fun at all: having a cold shower! After that, I got dressed and ripped my sweater as I put it on. Then I went downstairs for breakfast and found out that the milk had spoiled, so I couldn’t have cereal. We were all out of butter and jam (Plumpy is shopping tonight), so I had PLAIN toast. With nothing on it. Not tasty! Anyway, I picked up my video camera and walked to school. On the way, I didn’t see the huge patch of ice and I completely slipped. Fun Games for Winter
Hey there! Young documentary film maker and reporter Nibbles here with some GREAT ideas for winter activities! Stunning Sculptures – Get your friends together and challenge them each to make a sculpture out of snow. Get bottles of water colored with food coloring and have your friends color their sculptures. At the end, you can vote for which one everyone likes best! Snow Fort Building – Build a snow fort with your friends and furnish it with twigs, fallen branches, rocks, ice cubes – anything you can think of to make it look really fancy! Sled Races – Find a hill and race your friends down it! Be careful to keep enough distance between you, and make sure to check out the hill for stumps or rocks ahead of time. Also, make sure to choose a hill that’s away from the road. Make Snow Angels – There’s nothing quite like flopping down in the snow and making some pretty snow angels! Nibbles and the Film Fiasco
Well, I told my friends about the film contest today and you’ll never believe it, but now THEY’RE considering entering. What?! That wasn’t part of my plan! They were supposed to want to help me! Now they might be competition. I was trying to discourage them, and I think it mostly worked…except for Cowabelle. She seemed pretty intent on making a film of her own. Ugh! What if my film beats Cowabelle’s? What if hers beats mine? I hope she just forgets about the whole thing.

Guess what? I heard about the coolest thing on TV this morning – yeah, I’m home sick again today – anyway, it’s a contest that I can enter. It’s a ‘young documentarian’ contest. That means that a kid makes a movie and a panel of judges watches it and then the winner gets KinzCash! How much KinzCash? One thousand smackeroos! The second prize is 500 KinzCash and the third prize is 200 KinzCash, so even if I don’t come in FIRST place, I’ll still be pretty happy! Now I just have to figure out what to make my film about. Looks like I’ve got a list of ideas to write!
Nibbles Hippo: Home Sick
I know everyone gets colds. I know they’ll go away after about a week. But that doesn’t mean they’re any fun in the mean time. I’m so sick, you guys! I woke up this morning with a terrible sore throat and a cough. My eyes are burning and my head is aching. And my nose won’t stop running. Plumpy took one look at me and said I was missing school. I know SOME kids would be really happy about that (Sparky, for one), but me? No. I hate missing school. I especially hate it when I have to stay home and feel horrible. Everyone is probably having a great time at recess, playing in the snow. Me? I’m stuck on the couch, doing crosswords and blowing my nose. Which is really sore, by the way. Ugh. I can’t wait to feel better.
Nibbles’ Trip
Know how I was really mad at Plumpy for taking me to see my relatives at Christmas instead of just staying here like we always do? We-ell…it seems that maybe I over-reacted, just a tad. Plumpy told me about all the awesome stuff she’s got planned. We’re going to see my grandparents, my cousins – even my aunts and uncles. Wiggles is going to come with us, so that’ll be amazing. And Sir Rhineholt, Plumpy’s friend, will be meeting us down there. So…overall, maybe it’s not so bad. I really love visiting my gran and gramps, and my cousins are so much fun. Can you believe it? I might actually be getting excited about this trip! What’s your favorite thing about visiting your relatives?
Nibbles’ Bad News
It’s me, Nibbles and I am NOT having a good day! I just got home from school and heard Plumpy in the kitchen on the phone with someone. When I got closer I could tell that she was talking to our cousin, Ruby. I love Ruby but unfortunately we don’t get to see her all that often because she lives pretty far away. Usually at Christmas Ruby and her family come to Kinzville for the holidays, but that is not what it sounded like just now. I’m pretty sure that I heard Plumpy say that it would be really nice for us to have a change this year and see their part of Webkinz World. Oh no, it would not! That would NOT be nice at all! Don’t get me wrong. I would really like to visit Ruby’s house. Plumpy and I have talked about taking a trip there sometime. But not at Christmas! Reporter-in-Training Nibbles Hippo here, asking students at the Kinzville Academy to share what they’re most thankful for this Thanksgiving. Salley: I’m thankful that I get to spend Christmas with my dad this year. Also, I’m thankful for my friends – and my vice-president Stoogles! I’m less thankful for my treasurer, Purr-Cilla. Booger: I’m thankful I haven’t accidentally blown up the chemistry lab. I’m also thankful for Ms. Cowoline’s forgiving nature (especially after last week’s experiment…so many marshmallows…so much smoke). Laurabeard: I’m thankful for my brother, Dogbeard! He’s coming home for Thanksgiving AND he’s bringing me some souvenirs from his latest voyage. I hope it’s not a box of sand like last time. Malena: I’m thankful for my good looks, my sharp wit, and my magical powers. Cowabelle: I’m thankful for my mom, my friends, yada, yada, yada. I’m also thankful that Christmas is almost here!
