Nibbles Hippo: Cupcake Reporter

Nibbles Hippo here, with coverage of the super-awesome cupcake competition! On this, the day before the fair, I’m going to visit all of the bakers and see how their last minute cupcake-creations are coming along. Come with me and let’s see if we can get a sneak preview of some entries! Ah, here we are at Salley’s house. Now, Salley has been VERY busy getting everything ready. This whole fair was pretty much her idea, after all! Let’s see if we can chat with her for a second. I’ll just ring her doorbell and… *Ten minutes (and several doorbell rings) later* Hm. Doesn’t seem like she’s answering. No matter! We’ll hit Cowabelle’s house. She’s just down the street, and she should be home, working hard on her cupcake. Ah! Yes! I hear her footsteps. Nibbles Sees a Ghost!

By Salley Cat We had a bit of a mystery on our hands today, readers. Nibbles came running into school absolutely freaking out. I knew that there had to be some logical explanation. It is close to Halloween after all so I thought maybe what she thought was a real ghost was actually just somebody’s decorations. I turned to look at what she was pointing at and there it was. I saw it too! Through the trees a wispy white figure swayed back and forth. Nibbles didn’t have to tell me twice – we were … Read more
Nibbles Catches a Cold

Ugggggh! It’s me, Nibbles. Or should I say ‘Sniffles?’ The other day on my way home, it started pouring down with rain and I had left my jacket in my locker at school. I got soaked! As soon as I got home, Plumpy ran me a hot bath and I got out of my wet clothes, but when I woke up the next morning I was all stuffed up. Now I’m lying in bed, eating chicken soup, and going through about a million tissues a day. I feel awful. My head hurts and my nose is running like a faucet. It wouldn’t be so bad, but Molly’s Pink Party is in two days! What if I’m not better by then? I told Plumpy that I was going to the party no matter what, but she said that if I’m still sick, that wouldn’t be fair to everyone else because I could pass my germs onto them. I guess she has a point, but – IT’S NOT FAIR! Oh, I really hope I’m feeling better by then. Plumpy said all I can do is drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest. I’ve gotta go. I think I’ll … Read more
