Statement on Recent Cheating Account Bans

This is a follow up to the following notices, among many others over the years:

Reminder: Cheating can lead to losing your account

Reminder: Cheating will not be tolerated

Despite these repeated warnings, we unfortunately continue to have accounts that attempt to exploit issues in the game. Let us be clear once again: when we find evidence of exploits being used to gain KinzCash or items, duplicate items, or gain Diamonds in Webkinz Next, we may, at our sole discretion, ban those accounts or apply other account restrictions as we see fit.

It will not matter if you have been a member for a day or ten years, have two pets or fifty, are Deluxe or not Deluxe. It will not matter how much was gained, or which item was attempted to be duplicated. It will not matter if you are actively using the cheat, or were simply testing it.

For the vast majority of you who play as the game was intended, we thank you, and give you the following advice:

If you see or read about an exploit, hack, or duplication bug, don’t use it. Don’t even test it. It’s not worth losing your account over.

If you are asked for your user name and/or password to give you prizes, trades, or to “look after” your account from anyone who is not a known employee of Ganz, do not give it. You will have no control over what is done on your account, and may lose your account over those actions.

Thank you for reading, and have fun in Webkinz World.

I hate thieves and cheats hence my user name. I was the victim of this years ago. The thief got away with several of my PSI’s before I was able to get it stopped. Those items were lost for ever!

that is such a shame. i am not computer savy so i don’t know about such things but all you have to do is go in everyday & play. so simple. cheating is just so so bad. i really hate people that do that. we need things to enjoy & webkinz we can enjoy. thanks for watching out for us !

So sad that individuals can not just enjoy the fun.

Aggressive posts like this one don’t give me any confidence there is any sort of system in place to help mitigate false bans – all it does is make me nervous that I’ll accidentally do something and have my like…15 year old account destroyed.

After reading the comments on this and other sites, this seems extremely concerning to me. I’ve already been wrongfully banned from a different pet website 6 years ago and their customer service never responded to me despite sending in 20+ help ticket. I don’t need a repeat of that. I’m wondering if it might be best/safer to stay off Webkinz World for awhile.

Yeah, maybe.. sad because of so many fun events. I might just take a break because I can’t lose my almost 200 virtual pets. My best friend has almost 800 adopted virtual pets on her account.

    I sure hope you’re reading these comments…

I have to agree with a couple others who said that customer service isn’t the best…needs some serious tweaking so customers are helped when they need it and are happy. Remember, a happy customer will keep coming back to buy things and support the game! That being said….no one likes a cheater, and they should be banned…BUT…be sure it was cheating and not just a glitch or accident before booting them off Webkinz. I would honestly be upset if I got booted because I did something wrong accidentally, or there was a glitch. If it happens once, maybe give a warning or inquire to see why they cheated…IF they did. I have no idea what or how to cheat in this game, but I would absolutely hate if I lost my account…it’s gotten me through some really difficult days over the past few years!! I LOVE my webkinz family…the one I created in my accounts and the people here who use it!!

I dunno if this counts as “cheating” but I have 1 main acc that I use every day and two others that my one my brother didnt want because he quit and gave to me and my sister did the same thing. Also, they are free players both accs so I cant send.

  9. gbjockey says:

It would be a lot harder for players to unintentionally exploit bugs if the bugs weren’t there. I’m not upset, just scared that I’ll accidentally trip on a bug and customer service won’t get back to me/believe me.

    • Alexandrite_Ledger says:

I agree. =\ Also, hi gbjockey, it’s Starlight. =) Thanks for all the items you send. <3

    • Msamommy says:

Exactly! I don’t really know how anyone cheats….or what they do that’s wrong…so I am worried too.

    • Buttonwillow says:

I agree with gbjockey. Why punish the users of your game for the shortcomings of your programmers. As users, we are punished enough as it is with all the continuous glitches. This is especially not fair to those who may inadvertently trip a bug. Maybe some new, experienced, programmers would solve the issue.

I feel the same way :( I literally do not use the trading room at all because I’m scared that I’ll trip over a bug on accident and get banned…

    • SirChristian7 says:

It’s a very real possibility. I somehow ended up with K100,000+ from a market glitch on Next! I contacted customer support right away and it took them over a week to get back! That was a very hard time fearing that my account might get banned for something I did not intentionally do!

    • Nibbles123451209 says:

Yea same, it feels kinda scary :(

    • readersrock2015 says:

I think the whole point is if you know it’s wrong ie the glitch that hasn’t been fixed, and still use it, then you have the chance to be banned.

Being very technologically challenged, I don’t even know how one could possible cheat!! Thanks for taking care of this though. It’s just wrong to cheat.
