With December 2020 approaching, we wanted to give you an update to the future of Webkinz. Back in May 2019, we released the Webkinz Desktop App, and later in the year we released the Mac version. These versions did still use the Flash Player, just without a browser.
We are pleased to announce that we will soon be releasing a NEW Desktop App that no longer uses Flash Player at all. This version will allow you to play Webkinz for years to come!
And there is no need to wait. By downloading and installing the current Desktop App, you will automatically be upgraded to the new version as soon as it is ready.
We at Ganz are very proud of Webkinz and have no intention of a little thing like Flash getting in the way of your fun! We will continue to support Webkinz with new items, new pets and all of your favorite events.

So this means if I only have a chromebook I can no longer play after December 2020
Hey Webkinz, when Adobe Flash Player shuts down, i thought we need the Adobe App to play on the Webkinz Desktop App, so when Adobe shuts down, how are we gonna play??

XD Sally, since i already have the desktop app downloaded on both of my Macs and have had it downloaded for a while now, will i automatically have it upgraded because of that?

Can you please make it so the login screen remembers password and user names for our other accounts? When I use the app on my mac (I love the app because the dock is bigger and somehow the graphics look better) I always have to type in each user name and password. Currently on my mac, it pulls up a little screen asking which login/user name I want to choose. This is very tedious to have to do this every time on my home computer.
YES! PLEASE someone from Webkinz Ganz make this happen! I have several accounts and it is hard to switch between accts.
Thank you Sally Webkins for you answer. Although it did not really help. One problem I keep getting is the game flashes and says: “Context3D not available! Possible reasons: wrong wmode or missing device support”. What is going on? The webkinz desktop game is the only place where I am getting this message. Please help.

Ah, when you said chrome I thought you meant you were using a chromebook. Are you running the Desktop App or going through Chrome? It’s not clear. And what version of Windows are you running?
I have been using the desktop version. I believe that I am using windows 10. My dad works in IT and he installs all the updates.

Sorry, I’m not sure what would cause that error. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? You may also want to uninstall and reinstall Flash — make sure you download the Chromium/opera version.
can anyone address the new desktop version of webkinz. I have been trying to use it, but it is taking forever to open some areas ex. the park. I could not get it to load the park on one account. I also was not awarded the daily school gifts. Can we please get an update on if this will be improving?
If you have more than one account, you will need to exit the Desktop App completely between log ins
Is there a way to minimize the desktop app? I don’t see the icon to do it.
Hi! So every time I try to launch the application, it says Flash needs to be installed. I already have flash installed. Is this an issue that will be resolved when flash player is discontinued?

What if you have a really old computer and can’t afford a new one because I tried to download it and it said I’m sorry this is only available for windows 7 and up
