URGENT: Keep Playing With the Desktop App!

 

Due to an issue beyond our control, as of January 1, 2021, Webkinz Classic will no longer work on browsers. The Flash plug-in, which is required for our site to run will not be supported by browsers after December 31, 2020.

 

The good news is that Webkinz Classic has a downloadable Desktop App that functions exactly the same way as our original site, but it doesn’t require a browser in order to play!

 

To make sure your play is uninterrupted, it’s important to download the Desktop App as soon as possible.

 

Ask your parents for help downloading the Desktop App and installing it on your computer.

 

Downloading the app is simple. Just visit the Webkinz homepage, and click one of the download buttons. There is a version for Windows and a version for Mac.

 

 

When the download has completed click on the wxsetup.exe in Windows or wxsetup.dmg on Mac in your Downloads folder and follow the prompts.

 

Once it is installed, you’re all set! You can continue to enjoy the same game you know and love!

 

And remember – you must install the Webkinz Classic Desktop App before January 2021 in order to enjoy uninterrupted play.

    Hey guys! Just a heads up on how to minimize the Desktop App in full screen mode, all you have to do is click Alt+Space at the same time, and after you click that, there will be a setting at the top of your computer screen. Then, you click the setting that says “Minimize_” then your window will immediately minimize. I hope I helped! Have an awesome weekend!     I had the app before but it quit working, when I went to download it again, my computer said it was a dangerous, possibly corrupted website. :(

      The site is safe. The app is safe to download.

        How can I be sure when I see this message when I try……..Woah, that download is dangerous! We found that there might be viruses, spyware, or other potentially unwanted programs in the file you are trying to download. :( I wish it had never changed 14Yrs of play, memories and money lost :(

          Some computers and virus software will have this as a standard message when you download an .exe from a website. Unfortunately, we had no control over browsers discontinuing Flash support. If you don’t feel comfortable downloading the Desktop App, the Webkinz Classic mobile app is available for iOS and Android. The Webkinz Desktop app, downloaded from webkinz.com, is the only way to get the full Webkinz experience, however.

    I have problems with this app daily. Most of the time it just freezes and have to do the task manager or it says something about closed and kicks me out. sometimes this happens numerous times in 1 day. The past days the log in button is frozen so can’t even get into the game. if i shut it down and do it again 3 or 4 times it will finally let me in. its very frustrating.

      Don’t use the Task Manager. When it freezes, minimize it, to minimize it if it’s in full screen, you just press “alt+space” at the same time then there will be a setting on the top side of your computer screen, and then click minimize. Then, after you minimize it, pin it to your taskbar, then once you do that, hold down the app, and drag your curser up and let go, and then it will say “Close Window” Click that, and go into the app, and wait like a minute and it will load, but after it loads, quit and go back in. If that doesn’t work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. To reinstall the app, go to http://www.webkinz.com , and on the bottom of the screen, there is the App installation

    I keep getting logged out when playing Stardrops. I am on the webkinz app and this has been happening since April 1. I lose my cash earned when trying to complete the April deluxe challenge. I thought it might be fixed on this Wed but it was not.

    I find this app signs out and freezes a lot especially when I am in the club house

      Hello lilypugrulestoo! When the app freezes, you have to either quit the app, or restart you computer or laptop. And when it freezes when you entering the Clubhouse, that just means your Webkinz phone is turning on, and you have to wait like 20 seconds for you phone to finish turning on

    HELP PLEASE! For the last 2 days every time I try to get on my Webkinz Desktop App it says Webkinz is doing maintenance and won’t let me in. I missed the chocolate eggs from yesterday. When will we be able to use the desktop app again? Please make it soon. Thank you!

    I renewed my deluxe membership yesterday for my 3 accounts which expired today but did not receive my deluxe membership box for any of the accounts. Will I be getting the deluxe box for March?
