She’s Back!
Wow! I am so glad that it’s the new school year because I tell you – I was getting sick of playing second banana to Salley last year. But this year things are going to be different because I am running for School Council President again and this year I intend to win. Apparently Cowabelle is running this year, which isn’t really fair because she’s the principal’s daughter. I mean, is she really going to stand up for the student body and get things done or is she just going to do what Mommy says? And who’s to say that when Ms. Cowoline is counting the votes that a few of the ballots for me don’t get ‘lost’, if you know what I mean. I actually don’t mind Cowabelle. She’s a lot better than some of the other ‘Kinz but if this school wants a President with some executive experience who isn’t in the Principal’s back pocket then I think I’m the obvious choice.
Nibbles in the Middle
It’s Laurabeard here. I was hoping this school year was going to get better, but instead it seems to be getting worse. The other day I went over to Nibbles’ locker to show her my new pencil case and Janice was standing there with her. My brother bought me this cool, retro Monkey & Monkey pencil case. It’s from this vintage shop he found on his travels and I thought it was really neat. But Janice said “That’s weird. Who would want someone’s old pencil case? Why didn’t he just buy you a new one?” I told Janice that was really rude and maybe she should go find Purr-Cilla and leave us alone. Janice said to chill out – that she didn’t mean anything by it. Then she said who was I to tell her what to do – she and Nibbles were hanging out first and maybe I should mind my own business. School Play Auditions & Casting!
Hello everyone, Ms. Cowoline here with some exciting news: I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve decided on this year’s play! We’re going to perform The Three Musketeers, so get ready for some swashbuckling action and daring drama. Here are our casting choices: Playing the dashing hero D’Artagnan will be Alex Tiger. Laurabeard’s Lunch
It’s my first week back at Kinzville Academy since I went away on my brother’s ship last year, and I have to say – it’s kind of weird getting back into things. Sometimes it feels like everyone else just carried along without me and forgot about me. The thing is, before I went away, Nibbles and I would always eat lunch together. Like, every single day. On the first day of school a whole bunch of us sat together, but I came into the lunchroom a little late yesterday and went to find Nibbles and she said sorry but she told Janice that she would sit with her today. Huh? Since when do Nibbles and Janice sit together? Janice is one of Purr-Cilla’s friends. Nibbles said I could join them if I wanted but I didn’t want to because there was only one seat by Janice and I don’t really know her anyway. Plus, if she’s anything like Purr-Cilla I’m not sure I want to know her. I went outside and ate my lunch by myself under a tree. I wonder if it’s going to be like this every day. I sure hope not.
A Surprise for Hailey!
You won’t believe what happened to me today! I was working in the studio and I was just about to close up for the day when the phone rang. It was some guy whose voice sounded kind of familiar but it was very deep and the line seemed very crackly. He asked if I had filled the role of the designer that I had advertised for earlier in the month. I explained that I had seen a few designers but that I hadn’t made any firm decisions yet. He asked if he could drop off his portfolio for me to look at because he was very interested in the position. When I told him that I was just leaving but that he could drop off his portfolio tomorrow morning, he said he was just around the corner and he’d really appreciate it if I could hold on for just five minutes. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out where I knew his voice from, so I said sure, because I was curious to see if I recognized this guy. When you play Zacky’s Quest, you can help Zacky collect all twenty pieces of a map and get the ancient Zacky’s Quest statue for your room! Use the arrow keys to avoid birds, Zangoz and cars. Ella Interviews Andy McWoof
Hey everyone! Ella here with a familiar face…familiar to me, anyway! It’s my dad, Andy McWoof! He’s the editor of the Webkinz Newz, and I definitely wanted to include him in my month of interviews. Ella: Hi, Dad! Thanks for joining us! Andy McWoof: I’m glad to be here, dear. Everyone is really enjoying your month of interviews and I didn’t want to be left out of the fun! EM: Well, my first question is about how you managed to become the editor of the Webkinz Newz. I know the story, obviously, but none of our readers do. Care to fill them in? AM: Oh, you know I love to tell that story. It all started back when I was just a little pup in elementary school. I had a knack for writing and finding stories everywhere. In fact, when I was only seven, I started my own newspaper. I gave it out to my friends for free, but they were impressed. And so were my parents. Elwin Makes a Difficult Choice
Well, I’ve been thinking long and hard about this whole touring thing and I’ve come to a really tough decision. It’s been a really fascinating journey that I’ve been on for the past few months since I first entered the Kinzville Sings! competition, but everything I’ve been through has made me realize that where I belong is back at home with my sister, designing rooms in Kinzville. So today I told the producers at Kinzville Sings! that when this tour is over I’m done with my recording career and I’m heading home. They were really understanding about it. They said that not everyone is cut out for this life and they could tell that all the stress had been starting to take its toll on me. I haven’t told Hailey yet though. I really want to surprise her. I just hope that she hasn’t hired another designer to take my place.
Play Tunneling Twigzy!
Twigzy is a caterpillar on a mission: to build the most amazing tree house EVER! In order to do that, though, he needs some help. Twigzy needs to tunnel into the center of the tree, and he needs you to guide his way! Use the arrows to move Twigzy, and then use the spacebar to eat the area in front of him. You can eat groups of blocks of the same color. You can pick up energy along the way (watch to make sure Twigzy doesn’t run out of energy or you’ll lose a turn), and be sure to keep an eye out for falling blocks; if Twigzy gets hit by one, he loses a turn. See how far you can take Twigzy; can you make it to the center of the tree?!
