Ella’s Month of Interviews

I’m going to find out all the information YOU have always wanted to know. So here’s what I need from you: in the comments below, tell me who you’d like to know more about, and what you’d like to know about them. I can’t wait to see what questions you come up with!
Nibbles’ Real Friends
Hey. I’ve kind of been keeping a low profile since I realized that Molly was right about Purr-Cilla using me for my pool. I mean, I just felt so stupid and I didn’t want Molly to say ‘I told you so’. My mom keeps asking what’s wrong because I told her just to tell my friends I’m not home. It’s just that I don’t want to invite Purr-Cilla and her friends in when they show up (which they do regularly, hoping to go for a swim) and I’m too embarrassed to see my other friends. But today my mom said enough was enough and that Molly had called on me several times and I was going to call her back. I took a deep breath and called her and you know what? She was awesome. She didn’t even mention Purr-Cilla. She just wanted to fill me in on her latest babysitting assignment. Apparently it went a lot better than the last time when Millie ran away. Finally I couldn’t stand it any more and told her how I overheard Purr-Cilla talking about me to her friends. She was so nice about it. She didn’t say ‘I told you so’ at … Read more
Roberta’s Craft: Homemade postcards
Roberta here with another fun craft! Here’s how you can make your very own homemade postcards! What you need: Cardstock cut into (size), markers, stamps, pens What you do: Decorate one side of your cardstock with a picture – you can draw your home town, a familiar landmark, or anything you like. On the other side, make three lines on the right half of the card (this is for your friend’s address). Write a message on the left side. Be sure to leave a space for the stamp on the upper right corner of the back of your card. Mail your card to surprise a friend!
Stoogles Summer – Not So Bad
Wow! Turns out having a broken flipper isn’t that bad after all! After a couple of weeks stuck at home with my grandpa, my family surprised me with the coolest thing ever – they rigged up this wagon so I can travel around with them! It’s been great. We went to the Amusement Park yesterday and I even got to ride on some of the rides! My dad lifted me from the wagon into the roller coaster cart! It was awesome! You know the weirdest thing though? When my family showed up with the wagon, the first thing my grandpa said was “Well, thank goodness for that! Nothing personal, Stoogles, but I was getting kind of bored, being cooped up here with you all the time. I can’t wait to get to that Amusement Park and try the Super Deluxe Rollercoaster!” Seriously???

Science Camp Experiment: Slime
Dear Sparky How is your summer going? I hope that working in the Curio Shop hasn’t been too tough. I know you weren’t really looking forward to it. Science camp has been absolutely AMAZING!!! Alex and I are having so much fun and we have made some new friends too! We have been doing so many cool experiments here. Just yesterday we made this really weird ‘slime’ stuff. It’s really easy so I thought I’d share it with you and maybe that would give you something fun to do when you’re not working. What you need: – 1/4 cup water – 1/4 cup white glue – 1/4 cup liquid starch (you can find it with the laundry detergents in the supermarket) – Food coloring – an adult assistant, like your Uncle Arte What you do: Mix the water and glue in a large bowl and add food coloring until you get it just the shade you like. Slowly stir in the liquid starch until you get a gooey slime. You can store it in a sealed plastic bag when you’re not playing with it (but it is awesome to play with!) I hope you … Read more
Sparky’s Job
Hey, it’s me, Sparky! I just got back from another day helping out my Uncle in the Curio Shop. You know, at the beginning of the summer, I was really down on the idea of working in Uncle Sparky’s shop two days a week. I mean, summer’s all about having fun, right? But guess what? Two days a week isn’t that hard at all! I still had tons of time to hang out with my friends (there were even a few days when I was bored, with nothing to do.) I’ve been visiting a lot with Stoogles because he broke his flipper, and swimming in Nibbles’ new pool with Roberta and Molly. I’ve actually had a really great summer so far. But you know the very best part? I made a LOAD of KinzCash! Working two days a week really adds up. I’m just not sure what I should do with it all. There are some really cool things in the Curio Shop I’ve had my eye on. I could also really use a new skateboard, but Roberta says I should save the money. What do you think?
Nibbles’ Realization
Have you ever felt like a total fool? Because if you have, then you know exactly how I am feeling right now. I am so embarrassed I almost can’t even say what happened to me today. I was over at the Arcade to meet Roberta and we were getting a drink from the Arcade cafeteria when I saw Purr-cilla, Penelope and Janice sitting at a table. I was walking over to see them when I noticed that my shoe was untied and I bent down to tie it right next to a big plant near their table. I guess they didn’t see me because I overheard their conversation and I still can’t believe what I heard. Janice was asking if they were going to go swimming later and Purr-cilla said “Yeah, I guess it’s hot enough to put up with Nibbles for an hour or two.” I couldn’t believe it. Penelope actually jumped in and said that she liked hanging out with me, and Janice said yeah, she felt kind of bad about pretending not to be home when I came over the other day. But Purr-cilla told them to get over it – that I was always talking about … Read more

Stick the pretzel stick into your large marshmallow. Dip the top of the marshmallow into the melted chocolate. Dip the melted chocolate covered marshmallow into the sprinkles. Put the marshmallow pretzel wands onto the waxed paper and wait for the chocolate to firm up. A Postcard from Plumpy
Dear Nibbles, How is your summer going? I’m sorry I haven’t called in a few days – I’ve been SO busy touring Webkinz World. Charles and I are in the east right now and it’s just beautiful. I LOVE the warm weather and the beach! He thinks we should stay for at least a few more days, and I have to agree. I can’t wait to see the rest of Webkinz World, of course, but who can turn down the beach? I hope you’re less bored than you were before! Try to visit Roberta or Molly or Stoogles or Sparky. And what about Laurabeard? I just don’t want to think of you at home by yourself, having a terrible summer. So try and get out there and have a good time! I’m having a blast and you should be too! Love, Plumpy
A Surprise for Molly
Well, I had just about the worst afternoon. Roberta and Nibbles and I looked all over Kinzville for Millie and there was no sign of her anywhere. Roberta and Nibbles were being so nice and telling me it was going to be okay, but I could tell they were really worried about Millie. Then, as we were walking into my backyard, we heard a voice coming from somewhere above us. We all stopped to listen. It sounded like Millie and it was coming from the tree house! I raced up the tree house ladder and peeked inside and there was Millie, sitting in a circle with her dolls and pouring them each a cup of tea from her toy teapot! I practically screamed “Millie!” at her in relief, and she just looked over as if nothing had happened and said “Oh, hi Molly!” “Where have you been?” I cried, and suddenly she seemed to recall that she was mad at me. Her face twisted into a grimace, she crossed her arms, turned her back on me and stated “This is my new home and you’re not welcome here.” I didn’t care if she was giving me the cold shoulder or … Read more
Molly’s Crisis
This is awful! I can’t believe that Millie actually ran away from home! Just because I tried to make her eat her carrots! I called Roberta and Nibbles and they are on their way over to help me try to find her. I feel sick – I never should have left her alone in her room when she was so upset, but how could I know she would run away? Roberta said that when they get here we are going to split up and go looking in all of Millie’s favorite places. But I’m not sure – maybe someone should stay here just in case Millie decides to come back? What if she never comes back? What will my parents do? No! That’s not going to happen, right? We’re going to find her! Right? Oh, this is just the worst thing that ever happened to me!
A Message from Millie
Oh no, oh no, oh no!!! This is not happening! Today my mother decided to use one of the babysitting coupons that I gave her for Mother’s Day so she could do some shopping and have lunch with Ms. Cowoline at Le Snout. We spent the morning playing checkers and coloring in Millie’s coloring books. It was all going just fine until lunchtime when I told Millie that she couldn’t have any ice cream until she finished her carrot sticks. I don’t know what the problem was because my mother does that all the time and Millie just eats the carrots. But for some reason when I told her to eat them she just folded her arms and said ‘no!’ I said fine and put away the ice cream and next thing I know she was having a full-out tantrum! I dragged her into her room and said she could come out when she calmed down. She stayed in there for a long time so I just read my book in my room. After a while I decided to check in on her and when I walked into the room, she was gone! She … Read more
A Missed Invitation
Hey, it’s Nibbles again. Kind of a weird day today. You know that the other day Molly said that Purr-cilla was just using me for my pool? Well, today I decided to prove her wrong. Molly thinks that the only time Purr-cilla and her friends want to hang out with me is at my pool. So today I decided I would go over and surprise Purr-cilla at her place. And then the strangest thing happened. When I got to Purr-cilla’s there were a couple of bikes in the driveway and I’m pretty sure they were Janice’s and Penelope’s because I remember them from school. Which was great, right? Because I figured the four of us could all hang out together. So I rang the doorbell and I was almost positive that I heard someone walking around inside but then there was no answer at the door. After a minute I rang again, and then I waited and waited but no one came. I guess they must have just left their bikes there and all gone out somewhere, so I gave up and went home, but when I was leaving I thought I saw the curtains in the front window move … Read more
Roberta’s Craft: Make your own stickers
Today at camp we had SUCH a great time! We got to make our own stickers. It’s pretty easy to do and also? A TON OF FUN! Here’s how we did it. What you need: Cardstock in different colors (this is a great way to use up old cardstock), scissors, double sided tape, craft glue, sequins, wiggle eyes, any other embellishments you want What you do: I sketched my sticker ideas out on scrap paper first, just to make sure they looked the way I wanted them to. I cut out my background first, and then pasted on pictures and icons to make the stickers. I added details with markers. When my stickers were dry, I added double sided tape to the back. When I want to stick my stickers, I just have to peel off the double sided tape backing and I’m good to go!
