Meriwether’s Sitting Room Redesign
Hailey: Elwin and I had what might be our toughest job ever. Elwin: You can say that again, Hailey. H: Elwin and I had what might be our toughest job ever. E: Sigh. Let’s just show them the picture of Meriwether’s sitting room: H: OK, so do you want to start, or should I? E: Go ahead, Hailey. I…don’t know what to say. H: Alright, well Meriwether invited us over to see her sitting room. Actually, Fluffington called us up and said, “I’ve told my great-aunt to call you and ask for your help, but even if she doesn’t, please go over anyway. Her sitting room is a disaster!” E: You know what they always say, Hailey. No amount of KinzCash can buy good taste. H: How true! The interesting part is that some of these items are absolutely stunning on their own, but when they’re thrown together in one big room, they…well…they don’t look their best. E: Well put. H: Thank you. E: Anyway, here’s the end result: H: It’s like a breath of fresh air! E: Meriwether is examining the wallpaper, to make … Read more

Blast from the Past: La Souffle Redesign
Elwin: Today, you’re in for a treat – a blast from the past! When Chef Sophia first arrived in Kinzville, she decorated La Soufflé herself – mostly from donated furniture. Which kind of explains this: Ouch. My eyeballs. Elwin: We’ve invited Chef Sophia to talk to us today, and show us the ‘after’ picture. After Hailey and I gave her restaurant the star treatment, that is! Ahh…that’s better! Chef Sophia: I was SO happy when I could afford to hire you guys to redo my restaurant. I can’t even believe the ‘before’ picture anymore! I love the way it turned out, and my customers do too. I especially like the clear tables that separate the kitchen from the rest of the restaurant. They give the impression of openness, while also letting me bake without tripping over my customers! Plus, they’re great for displaying treats. I also love the fireplace –SO many Webkinz like sitting by the fire and enjoying a coffee and a pastry. Elwin: Mmm…speaking of which, I don’t suppose you brought any treats with you? Hailey: ELWIN! Elwin: I’m sorry…but … Read more

Nibbles Talks to Plumpy
Dear Diary, Today I finally got a chance to talk to Plumpy about what’s going to happen to me, now that she’s engaged to Charles (it still feels weird calling him that, but Plumpy says he’s going to be my brother-in-law, so I should get used to it). Basically, she said that my Mom and Dad are going to see about cutting their work assignment short and coming home early. If that doesn’t work, she said that my grandma is REALLY enthusiastic about me going to live with her. Grandma is wonderful, of course, but she doesn’t live very close to Kinzville. I would have to move – and that means moving away from my friends. But moving in with Grandma WOULD be fun – and it would mean that I could see the rest of my family more often, because they live close to her. The one other option is living with Plumpy and Charles. The one tiny problem with that is that Plumpy doesn’t know where they’ll be living. After all, Charles is an important historian – he travels all over Webkinz World. Will Plumpy travel with him? I don’t know. Plumpy said not to worry TOO … Read more
Laurabeard’s News
Dear Diary, You’ll NEVER believe what happened today: my best friend, Laurabeard, showed up at my house at noon. We hadn’t planned to do anything together, but I was really happy to see her. She was…nervous. I invited her in and got out some snacks, but she just fiddled with the carrot sticks and dip, and didn’t really eat anything. Then, all of a sudden, she blurted out: “Nibbles, I’m going to be going away for awhile. Like, away from Kinzville. For more than a month.” And I choked on the celery stick I was eating. When I stopped coughing, I asked what in Webkinz World she was talking about. Well, apparently Dogbeard is headed out on yet another fantastic voyage – only this time, he’s invited his whole family to join him. He said he needed some ‘extra paws on deck.’ So Laurabeard is going. She’s really, really excited. But sad because she’ll be gone for at least three months. And it could be longer, depending on how things go. She’s not even sure she’ll be back for Plumpy’s wedding (whenever that will be). I can’t believe it. First my sister gets … Read more
Homemade Wrapping Paper
Roberta here with a fantastic (and easy) craft – homemade wrapping paper, perfect for making a friend’s gift extra-special. Here’s what you need:Two large pieces of newsprint or white scrapbooking paper, acrylic paint in different colors, paintbrush, water (for rinsing the paintbrush) What you do: Dab dots of paint all over the paper. Use lots of different colors! Press the second sheet of paper over top of the dots and smooth it down with your hands. Pull the pieces of paper apart –you’ll have splats of paint on both of them. Let the paint try. When the paint is dry, wrap the gift with the paper.
