Robin Hood’s Rescue – Act 1
ACT 1 Robin peered out from behind the thick bushes to see the small carriage rolling down the hill. Just as Robin’s spy within Kinzingham Castle had expected, the carriage was lightly guarded in an attempt to pass through Kinzwood Forest unnoticed. But Robin knew that travelling in that carriage was Queen Cowalor, on a journey to visit the evil Sheriff of Kinzingham and bestow on him even more power than the sadistic Sheriff already held over the poor peasants of Kinzingham. Although he had no desire to harm the Queen, Robin knew that the grand dame would be laden with riches and he couldn’t let this opportunity pass. Ever since the day he had been declared an outlaw for standing up to the Sheriff in defense of the impoverished residents of Kinzingham, Robin had worked tirelessly to ease the burden of the peasants. The taxes demanded by the Sheriff were steep, but for every KinzCash collected, it seemed like Robin was there to steal them back and dole out his haul to the poor. Robin’s sidekick, Much, stumbled up the hill toward him. “Ssshh!!” Robin whispered as Much tripped over his sword. “Sorry!” replied … Read more

Final Dress Rehearsal!
Hi there! It’s Molly here. I am soooo nervous! Our school play is tomorrow night and I am playing Maid Marian. It has been so much fun rehearsing with everyone over the past couple of weeks, but now that it’s down to the wire – well, I’m getting butterflies in my stomach! We had our big dress rehearsal today and you could say things didn’t exactly go smoothly. Alex is playing this character called ‘Much’, who is Robin Hood’s sidekick. Much is supposed to be kind of clumsy and I guess Alex took his role to heart because at one point, when he was in a sword fight with the Sheriff of Kinzingham (Stoogles), he knocked over two trees that we were using as props. He got dirt all over the stage and Ms. Cowoline had to stop the rehearsal so she could clean up the mess. And I guess it was typecasting when they gave the role of the bad guy to Purr-cilla. Man, talk about a prima donna. Sparky and I are the two leads of the play but by the way she carries on you would think that Purr-cilla was the star. She was late for … Read more
Results of the School Election
Hello, children. Ms. Cowoline here to announce the results of the School President Vote. Before I announce the winner, I would just like to say how proud I am of all the candidates. I know that they all worked very hard at their campaigns and they all had intriguing (although not always workable) ideas about how to improve the culture of Kinzville Academy. I extend my thanks to all of the candidates for taking an interest in school government. They are an inspiration to us all. Having said that, we all realize that there can only be one winner. We had an excellent turnout for the vote – 9784 children took part. And the results are… With 2391 votes, an excellent showing, is Purr-cilla. With 3405 votes, another strong contender, is Stoogles. And our winner, with an impressive 3988 votes is… Salley Cat! Let’s hear it for our new School President, Salley! Thank you to every single one of you who voted. It’s so important to make your voice heard to affect change in your community. I look forward to working with Salley to incorporate some of her ideas into the running of Kinzville Academy. Now you may be … Read more
