Meet the Candidate: Amanda Panda!

Hello Webkinz Newz readers, Ella McWoof – back with another special Webkinz Votes 2016 report! Amanda Panda is a newcomer to politics, but she’s already a familiar face to everyone in Kinzville. She runs the Wish Factory and she is giving her campaign speech today which you can read below…

“I’m so excited to be running for Mayor! Cowabelle made a lot of wishes come true when she was elected. But now it’s time for someone new to fulfill the wishes of the citizens of Kinzville.

I’m so proud to be running against such esteemed opponents. I know I may not have the star power of celebrity Dex Dangerous, the many years of experience of the elderly Dr. Quack, or the cozy relationship with the current mayor that Salley Cat enjoys. But what I have is this: I spend every day interacting with citizens of Kinzville, helping make their wishes come true. At the Wish Factory, I’m lucky enough to meet with citizens face to face and listen to their needs.

What everyone wants is the ability to create a loving home for their pets – a home that lets you express your creativity and style. I’ll help you create the perfect home by adding more retired Exclusives to the Wish Factory. And to make sure you never miss out, I will announce which Exclusives are going to retire in advance.

I’d also like to address a concern expressed by some of you. I know the prices of some new Exclusives are high. I’ve already reduced prices on some items. But isn’t everything that’s worth having, worth working hard for? I see the joy on your faces when you finally save up enough Tokens to get that special piece. Doesn’t the fact that you have to work for it make it all the more special?

If you elect me on November 30th we’ll work together to create the perfect home. You already know how hard I work for you every day in the Wish Factory. As your Mayor, I’ll work to make wishes come true all over Kinzville.

Amanda Panda

Wishing the Best for Kinzville”

That was a good speech! I can’t wait to hear what Dr. Quack has to say!

Hi Pittiesrule, you’re on my friends list. Just realized. lol I was thinking about Amanda’s offer, and I found that many of her items at the wish factory are, not only expensive, but inconsistent in price with other wish token items…If there was a way to earn tokens; or a way to get them more frequently, even if only by chance, one could raise the prices on the older ones, or lower the prices of the higher ones. Something needs to be done, though. I cannot save up 300 tokens. I understand 15. This number seems reasonable to me. Even 20, or 30 for a bed or something big. chum45

Great job Amanda, you have my vote! You saying that you love seeing the joy on our faces when we save up enough I what I’ve been saying all along. And telling us about retiring exclusives in advance is great! Go Amanda!!!

MEG_WEBKINZ, Please post the joy you fill in around 3 to 5 years from now when you get enough tokens to get that 1 “special item”. We would all love to congratulate you. Just saying I think more could be done by Amanda Panda to help our wishes come true. No disrespect. Only love MEG_WEBKINZ.

I appreciate your comment, trexjt2013. I’m sorry we have different opinions. I understand what everyone is saying, but I still stand by my previous comment. Sure it’ll take time, but it’ll make success that much sweeter when we do succeed. Maybe Amanda will even make it easier to get tokens if she is elected. I respect all of your opinions and I hope you all respect mine as well. And I’m not trying to be rude at all; I totally get why you guys would be a little upset about the Wish Factory prices. ;)

  4. Wytchywoman says:

Any previously retired exclusives Amanda brings back are going to be as expensive as the newly released ones. No thanks, Amanda.

  5. hanako says:

I think that Amanda’s comment about “everything worth having is worth working hard for” may be somewhat true in real life, however, in Webkinz I feel that is an asinine statement to make because the currency needed to purchase her exclusive items is based purely on chance. You cannot do anything to actually, consistently, work for or earn wish tokens. Other than getting one once a year on your birthday, the other ways (wheel spins, log out games, balloon pop games) are all based on chance.

  6. LovesStaffordshires says:

Sure, it would be nice to know what’s items are retiring so that I don’t have to waste tokens on items that aren’t disappearing. Sorry Amanda, Dr. Quack still has my vote. Can’t wait to see what Salley has to offer. Pittiesrule

Dearest Amanda, I am truly disapointed in you…Working hard is not always what is important..working smart is even better and always doing your very best is always better..but thank-you anyway..love and peace to all of kinzville.

  8. FennecFox says:

Ah, she has four microphones too? :P Seriously, though, she may be pretty good at this, but I don’t know. I can’t wait to see what Salley Cat has to say.

  9. Dash75550 says:

Dear Ms. Amanda, I think your idea to let us know when things are going to retire is wonderful. However, I respectfully reply that your comment on Dr. Quack being elderly should have no bearing on whether to vote for you or not. What you will do for us is not as important as having respect for your opponents and disrespect is not a trait that should be encouraged in our citizens. Your comment about high prices and working hard for things does not take into account the fact that collecting the number of tokens being asked is impossible for a normal citizen. I wish you would reconsider your thoughts on the exclusive prices, for the sake of the loyal citizens of Kinzville. I am sorry, but for those reasons, I can not give you my vote.

    • Kamaly says:

I totally agree, Dash! We need to vote for the best candidate for the job, looking carefully at campaign promises and the respect they show to others. So far, I will be voting for Dr. Quack. I am eager to evaluate all the candidate’s platforms before I cast my final vote.
