With December 2020 approaching, we wanted to give you an update to the future of Webkinz. Back in May 2019, we released the Webkinz Desktop App, and later in the year we released the Mac version. These versions did still use the Flash Player, just without a browser.
We are pleased to announce that we will soon be releasing a NEW Desktop App that no longer uses Flash Player at all. This version will allow you to play Webkinz for years to come!
And there is no need to wait. By downloading and installing the current Desktop App, you will automatically be upgraded to the new version as soon as it is ready.
We at Ganz are very proud of Webkinz and have no intention of a little thing like Flash getting in the way of your fun! We will continue to support Webkinz with new items, new pets and all of your favorite events.

Hello. I have been so unsuccessful in trying to download the desktop version of Webkinz Classic. I just updated my mac to macOS Big Sur version 11.0.1 and this didnt help. Get as far as getting the Webkinz installer on desktop which tells me, requires Adobe Flash to play, please download. I click there. Cannot find where to download the flash player, doesn’t seem to be one available. On the Webkinz screen ‘Play’ is dimmed, ‘Quit’ is available. Right now I cannot log onto to Webkinz (Classic), getting only green screen. What can I do now?

I play Webkinz on a Linux computer. I have had an account for 12 years. With flash not supported in browsers, how can I keep playing Webkinz? I am due to renew my Deluxe account this month. Does new Webkinz support Deluxe accounts?
Currently, there is nothing like Deluxe on the new Webkinz
How will I be able to continue playing the original Webkinz on Chrome after 2020? The app does not give as near the same features. I had planned on continuing my membership but now there doesn’t seem to be a good reason too. This is very disappointing and I hope something gets worked out.
There is no Desktop App for Android at this point. Only the mobile app.
So again, you’re saying we will lose all of our features? I have been a fan since 2010 and this is incredibly disappointing.
It’s a desktop app, so an app for your computer to replace chrome, it’s literally the website but in a desktop app instead of online. They’re having to do it because flash is going away which is outside of their control
I downloaded the newest version and I’m so sad to see that all of my pets, rooms, and items aren’t there. :( Is there any way to get them back??
The new version is seperate from the old one.
Will Webkinz world app on desktop update as soon as flash ends in December or do we have to wait for a while before the new version comes into effect and updates it? Sorry I sound dense here. LOL
It will update automatically when it is ready. Unless you actively uninstall Flash Player before that point, you shouldn’t notice a difference.

Hey guys!!!! I figured out how to Minimize the Webkinz Desktop App!!! Ok so it’s very very simple, you just click (alt, and “space”) At the same time then, there will be a small setup at the top of the computer screen then, press “minimize” the Minimize icon should look like this, _ Minimize. If you have any questions, lmk. I have to tell you guys something, my cat was on the key board, and that’s how I figured out how to minimize it. LOL. It’s a very good cat.
If the updated app no longer requires flash, why not keep the website running with the same update?
The updated app will not require a downloaded Flash plug-in. That does not mean it doesn’t use Flash.

So if you have a chrome laptop, what do you do? I currently only have that one and would love to continue to get the full experience. Been playing since I was 9 and now in my 20′s. What can I do???
