Tour of Kinzville – Quizzy’s Corner

By Booger Okay, there are two things I absolutely love! If you know me at all, you know that one of them is video games. And the other is SCIENCE! (Okay, I kind of love junk food too but I’m really trying to work on that one!) So one of my favorite places in Kinzville is the place where you go to test your knowledge and answer questions to earn KinzCash. Science is my favorite subject, but I also love learning all different types of information. I go to Quizzy’s at least three times a week – I love to be challenged and get my brain working. Did you know that before Quizzy started Quizzy’s Corner, he was a scientist? My big brother, Goober, studied with Quizzy and they were lab partners on some very groundbreaking experiments. Goober says that Quizzy is one of the most brilliant scientists he ever met. Apparently there are a couple of reasons that Quizzy left the field of science to start Quizzy’s corner. Goober says that Quizzy was interested in so much more than just science. He is also into Geography, History, Literature – Goober says he is … Read more

Make Some Thanksgiving Name Tags!

By Cowabelle Cowoline Thanksgiving is almost here! It’s my second-favorite holiday (Christmas is my VERY favorite holiday). I love making little crafts to help make the day special. This year, I made name tags! You can make some too. Here’s how: What you need: Scrapbooking paper scraps, brown construction paper, orange construction paper, craft glue, scissors, pen, springy clothespins What you do: 1. Cut out a brown construction paper circle. It should be about 3 or 4 inches across. 2. Cut out head and neck for your turkey. Use some pretty scrapbooking paper. 3. On your turkey’s face, glue on an orange triangle beak. Cut out two orange legs and glue them to the bottom of the brown circle. 4. Cut out a whole bunch of feathers and glue them onto the back of your turkey. Make sure you can see them peeking out from behind the turkey! Glue a wing on either side of your turkey. 5. Draw on eyes (and eyebrows, if you like). 6. Glue the springy clothespin to the back of your turkey. 7. Cut out a banner that will run from one wing to the other … Read more

Nibbles Hippo: Roving Reporter

Reporter-in-Training Nibbles Hippo here, asking students at the Kinzville Academy to share what they’re most thankful for this Thanksgiving. Salley: I’m thankful that I get to spend Christmas with my dad this year. Also, I’m thankful for my friends – and my vice-president Stoogles! I’m less thankful for my treasurer, Purr-Cilla. Booger: I’m thankful I haven’t accidentally blown up the chemistry lab. I’m also thankful for Ms. Cowoline’s forgiving nature (especially after last week’s experiment…so many marshmallows…so much smoke). Laurabeard: I’m thankful for my brother, Dogbeard! He’s coming home for Thanksgiving AND he’s bringing me some souvenirs from his latest voyage. I hope it’s not a box of sand like last time. Malena: I’m thankful for my good looks, my sharp wit, and my magical powers. Cowabelle: I’m thankful for my mom, my friends, yada, yada, yada. I’m also thankful that Christmas is almost here! And you know what that means…CHRISTMAS PRESENTS! Nibbles: I’m thankful for my sister, my awesome friends, my family – and for the fact that it’s getting chillier outside. I LOVE the winter! What are you thankful for, friends?
