Sparky’s Birthday Surprise
Whoa – so it was my party today and it was CRAZY! You will never believe what happened! It was all going really well. I got some great presents and my Uncle took us deep down into the mines, which was really spooky – perfect for a Halloween party! Then, my Uncle planned out this cool scavenger hunt. We teamed up to find unusual objects on the list. I was paired with Cowabelle and as we got close to the lake behind the Tournament Arena (we were looking for an oar) Nibbles and Roberta came running out of the trees, looking terrified. They said that there were strange noises coming from this old shipwreck on the shore. Just then Salley and Stoogles appeared and said they had heard something too. What to get Sparky
Hey, Alex here and I’m really excited because my friend Sparky’s birthday is coming up! On Friday some of us were talking about what to get him at recess. He wasn’t there because he and Roberta and Nibbles all had to stay in and clean up Ms. Stripes craft cupboard, ‘cause I think they got in trouble or something. Salley really wants for us to all pool our money and buy Sparky something big, like the 4 Wheel ATV. That is a pretty cool idea, but Cowabelle said that she and Roberta were going to make something for Sparky themselves. They do make really neat crafts – I wonder what they’re going to get him. Stoogles said that he kind of wanted to get Sparky a game from the W Shop, and Molly and Polly both said they were planning to go in together and get Sparky a new Baseball Glove. Hmmm… I’m stumped. Prepping for the Trip
By Salley Cat This is it! It’s only a couple of weeks until we go on our end of year trip to the Big City! I’m so excited! Unfortunately boys and girls can’t share a room so I won’t be able to bunk with my best bud, Stoogles, but that’s okay. I think I am going to share a room with Molly, which will be awesome! Ever since her birthday party Purr-cilla and I have been getting along okay so we decided to have a meeting with Ms. Cowoline to finalize some of the details. We are going to see a musical and going to check out this really cool sculpture garden at the museum. And we haven’t completely decided where we’re having dinner on our second night there. We are checking out reviews of local restaurants. I’m still pushing for the famous seafood restaurant while Purr-cilla – despite her attitude adjustment – is still resisting. But other than a few little details, it’s all coming together!
Polly’s Cake
Hey, it’s Molly and the plans for Polly’s surprise party are going really well! I don’t think she suspects a thing! The only problem is that we couldn’t decide what kind of cake to make. We all want something different. Alex said that girls like flowers so we should have a cake with flowers on it. Way to stereotype, Alex! Stoogles says that he is a traditionalist and that a plain old birthday cake with her name on it is all we need. You know how crafty Roberta can be? Well, she wants to design a cake with Polly’s face on it. Sounds complicated. And Nibbles and I both love cupcakes. Aren’t cupcakes always better than cake? So we thought the best thing to do would be to go off in pairs and come up with a cake design. Then we could choose our favorite design and make that one. Maybe you could help us choose. Planning Polly’s Party
So I was meeting with the ‘Kinz today and I told them all that Polly’s birthday was on the 28th and they were just as excited as I was! They all want to help me plan her party! I didn’t mention that Polly said that she didn’t want a party, because really, who doesn’t want a party? So all the ‘Kinz said that they would help me with the party! Stoogles says he is going to choose the tunes for the party and Roberta said she would craft the invitations and some decorations. Cowabelle and Sparky are going to make the cake and Alex said that he will help Roberta put the decorations up. I am going to get cooking and make loads of food for the party. This is going to be so much fun. Polly will be so thrilled!
Purr-Cilla: bragging again
It’s me, Purr-cilla, and did I mention that my birthday party is going to be AWESOME? It’s pretty exclusive. I’m not having just anyone there, you know. Funny thing happened. I had actually lowered myself to invite some of those ‘Kinz. I thought I’d take pity on Stoogles, Cowabelle, Molly and Sparky and show them what it’s like to really have some fun for a change instead of always hanging with that lame cat, Salley. But apparently they just don’t know a good thing when it’s looking them in the face because they all informed me today that they wouldn’t be able to make it. Whatever. I gave them a chance. It’s not my fault that they don’t want to move up in the world, right? I’m still going to have an amazing party. Who needs them anyway?
A Big Fight
Dear Diary, You are NEVER going to believe what happened in our ‘Kinz meeting today. We had a GIGANTIC fight. In fact, I’m not sure I’ll ever forgive Cowabelle, Molly, Stoogles or Sparky. Want to know why? Because THEY are going to Purr-Cilla’s birthday party. They got invitations today at recess and Roberta, Nibbles, Alex and I? NOTHING! Purr-Cilla just sashayed right on past us with a smug look on her face. Turns out, she gave invitations to practically EVERYONE at school –but not us. She also didn’t give one to Booger, but he said he’d never go to her party anyway. I asked Cowabelle, Molly, Stoogles and Sparky why they’d go to the party of someone so awful and you know what they said? “Because she invited us!” Then Cowabelle said, “It’s not our fault we’re popular. And it’s not our fault Purr-Cilla doesn’t like you.” And I said, “But it IS your choice to go without the rest of us and pretend that you DO like Purr-Cilla!” And Stoogles said, “Maybe you’re just jealous.” And that’s when I stormed off. An invitation from Purr-Cilla?
Salley Cat here. How is it that even when Purr-cilla thinks she is doing something nice she still manages to be offensive? Today she shows up at school with a stack of invitations to her birthday party and proceeds to hand them out to SOME people. We’re all putting our stuff away in our lockers when she comes marching down the hall. First she goes up to Stoogles and hands him this envelope. He just looked kind of confused. Then she gave envelopes to Cowabelle, Molly and Sparky. When she walked away they all opened the envelopes and it was party invitations! Okay, first of all, since when does Purr-cilla hang out with Stoogles? Secondly, who hands out invitations in front of everyone so that everyone who is NOT invited feels left out? I don’t think they should go and I told them so, but not everybody sees Purr-cilla for who she really is apparently.
Purr-Cilla’s Big Day
Dear Diary, I can’t believe how fast my birthday is coming up! May 12, be there! The only thing is, I haven’t started planning my party yet. That’s what happens when you’re super-busy and super-popular like me! I just haven’t had time, between my tennis classes, violin recitals, gymnastics competitions and homework. Don’t even get me started on student council – I practically run that! But fortunately, Mom got the invitations back from the printer today, so I can pass them out at school tomorrow. I decided to invite most of the school – and even some of the ‘Kinz – partially because I really like a certain Sparky Fact (and if I just invited him, that would be too obvious), and partially because it’ll drive the ones I DON’T invite nuts! Anyway, this is going to be the party of the century! Nothing like Stoogles’ little Googles party. Do you know how much KinzCash my dad is spending on this shindig? Like, about two thousand! Stoogles’ Birthstone
Wow! What an awesome birthday party! All my friends were there and as always the Googles put on a massive spread. Googles’ parties are THE BEST! I got so many great presents for my birthday – I sure am one lucky guy! But this birthday was extra special because this was the year that I got my birthstone pendant. A birthstone pendant is a very precious rite of passage to Googles. When you receive your birthstone pendant it means that you have reached the age where you can appreciate the true value of being a Googles (of course I have always known how awesome it is to be a Googles!) And the best part of all is that MY birthstone is the coolest – the Diamond! (Sorry – I’m sure all of your birthstones are totally awesome too, but hello? It’s a DIAMOND!!) Stoogles Birthday
It’s Salley. Stoogles party is going really well and everyone is having so much fun, but there is something that’s kind of bothering me. There is a TON of food here. Googles really do know how to throw a party. The problem is that they have plastic plates, cups and cutlery. Do you have any idea how bad all that stuff is for the environment? It practically never decomposes. If they HAD to go with disposable plates and stuff (which I really wish they didn’t) couldn’t they have chosen biodegradable ones that would break down eventually? And straws! We don’t need straws! Not only that, but there are so many of us all dancing around and eating and drinking that this stuff is getting knocked all over the ground and danced on and crushed. Everywhere I look around this party it seems like there’s litter! And there is way too much food here for all of us too! Stoogles’ Birthday: Coming Up Fast
Hi! It’s Salley. Wow. Is Stoogles ever excited about his birthday, or what? Googles love parties – that’s for sure! Everybody has been talking about the party and shopping for gifts for him. I know Cowabelle and Roberta were thinking of going in together to get him a new skateboard and they were going to custom paint it. Polly said she saw a cool shirt in the Big City and she was going to see if they have something similar in the KinzStyle Outlet. Alex wants to get him a science book and Sparky said he hasn’t decided yet because there is just too much to choose from in his Uncle Arte’s Curio Shop. He better hurry up! I think that Stoogles is going to love all of those gifts, but I’m having a really hard time deciding what I want to get for him. He is my best friend after all. Oh yeah!!! It’s my birthday coming up and you know what that means! Party, cakes, presents! And more presents! And even more presents!!! I am inviting EVERYONE to my party! This is going to be the coolest party ever. I don’t know if you’re aware, but Googles’ parties are legendary. And when you combine a cool dude like myself with an awesome Googles’ party, you know what you get? The par-tay to end all par-tays, my friends. I am thinking of going to Chef Gazpacho and asking him to make a cake in the shape of my face. I think everyone would love that, don’t you? I can’t wait. Everyone is going to be so excited when I tell them about it. I’ll bet they’re all going to want to start thinking about what they’re going to get me.
Salley and Stoogles, BFFs
Dear Diary, My best friend is, as you might have guessed, a little…odd…sometimes. He’s a great guy, don’t get me wrong, but I never know where he gets his crazy ideas from. Case in point? His birthday. Stoogles wants to throw an ‘awesome dance party’ with ‘everyone in the school’. Really? REALLY? That sounds like a lot of work…and maybe not such a great idea. Like, what happens if Purr-Cilla shows up? If he invites the whole school, he’s going to have to invite her…and that’ll ruin everything. Also, how is he going to have enough food for everyone? And where is he going to have the party? He keeps saying “in the forest”…but what if it rains? Maybe I should just stay out of this and let him do whatever he wants.
