Stoogles’ Birthstone
Wow! What an awesome birthday party! All my friends were there and as always the Googles put on a massive spread. Googles’ parties are THE BEST! I got so many great presents for my birthday – I sure am one lucky guy! But this birthday was extra special because this was the year that I got my birthstone pendant. A birthstone pendant is a very precious rite of passage to Googles. When you receive your birthstone pendant it means that you have reached the age where you can appreciate the true value of being a Googles (of course I have always known how awesome it is to be a Googles!) And the best part of all is that MY birthstone is the coolest – the Diamond! (Sorry – I’m sure all of your birthstones are totally awesome too, but hello? It’s a DIAMOND!!) At my party, we all had some cake and I opened my presents, and then my mom and dad called me up to the front. Everyone got really quiet then because the Birthstone Pendant Ceremony is a really solemn thing. My mom and dad said that just like a diamond is precious and rare, I am a … Read more
Stoogles Birthday
It’s Salley. Stoogles party is going really well and everyone is having so much fun, but there is something that’s kind of bothering me. There is a TON of food here. Googles really do know how to throw a party. The problem is that they have plastic plates, cups and cutlery. Do you have any idea how bad all that stuff is for the environment? It practically never decomposes. If they HAD to go with disposable plates and stuff (which I really wish they didn’t) couldn’t they have chosen biodegradable ones that would break down eventually? And straws! We don’t need straws! Not only that, but there are so many of us all dancing around and eating and drinking that this stuff is getting knocked all over the ground and danced on and crushed. Everywhere I look around this party it seems like there’s litter! And there is way too much food here for all of us too! So I asked Stoogles what was going to happen to all of the leftover food and he was like “Oh, that? I guess we’ll just chuck it.” Chuck it? What a waste! And they have these colored lights up everywhere even though … Read more

Stoogles’ Birthday: Coming Up Fast
Hi! It’s Salley. Wow. Is Stoogles ever excited about his birthday, or what? Googles love parties – that’s for sure! Everybody has been talking about the party and shopping for gifts for him. I know Cowabelle and Roberta were thinking of going in together to get him a new skateboard and they were going to custom paint it. Polly said she saw a cool shirt in the Big City and she was going to see if they have something similar in the KinzStyle Outlet. Alex wants to get him a science book and Sparky said he hasn’t decided yet because there is just too much to choose from in his Uncle Arte’s Curio Shop. He better hurry up! I think that Stoogles is going to love all of those gifts, but I’m having a really hard time deciding what I want to get for him. He is my best friend after all. The thing is I really want to be environmentally responsible this year. I want to get Stoogles an environmentally friendly gift. I was thinking that I could plant a tree for him in the Caring Valley, but I kind of want to give him something he could have … Read more
Roberta’s Observations
Dear Diary, Things have been a bit weird around here lately. Why? It’s my parents. I don’t know what’s going on with them, but they seem to be so preoccupied lately. For example, I was supposed to bring some KinzCash to school for pizza day. Normally my mom puts the KinzCash in my backpack, but it wasn’t there! When I got home and asked her about it, she said I was old enough to take responsibility for my own pizza! Yesterday, I wanted to go for a bike ride with my dad, but he said he and my mom had to do some talking, and that they were going for a walk. When I asked if I could join them, they said no! Can you believe it? They’ve never been like this before. One other strange thing: I made carrot muffins today (my specialty) and when I offered one to my mom, she said, “Ugh, no thanks.” How rude, right? Why would she think my carrot muffins are gross all of a sudden? Have I done something wrong? Roberta
Alex: Not Having Much Luck
Notes from the Science Journal of Alex Tiger After extensive study in and around the Magic Forest my attempts to discover new rock samples in the Magic Forest area appear to have failed. I set up several difference search areas and cordoned them off so they wouldn’t be disturbed. But after dividing the search perimeter into smaller areas and meticulously and systematically working through each site, I have nothing to show for my efforts. But I refuse to give up. I know that if I persevere I am sure to find something. This is just taking me a little longer than I thought, that’s all. What I need to do is expand my scope. I guess the Magic Forest isn’t magic for me but that doesn’t mean that there’s not a new specimen out there somewhere. I know I’ll find it. I just have to figure out where to look next, that’s all.
Chef Gazpacho’s Springtime Recipes
Whenever the weather gets warmer, I love to switch up the menu at Le Snout. This spring, I’m featuring some tasty dishes, like: Rhomblintzes: This is a delicious sandwich maker recipe. To make one of your own, visit the W Shop and pick up something blue, something cheesy and something that’s flat. A very refreshing food is the Astormishing Sandwich. To make one, get something watery, something sticky, and something that comes sliced. Finally, how about a stove recipe? I love Chortletorte! To make this, visit the W Shop and pick up a cake bunnies like, something that’s brown on the outside and white on the inside, and something sweetly sour – and pink! Enjoy!

Sweet Springtime Nests
What you need: 2 cups of dry chow mein noodles 1 cup of chocolate chips Jellybeans Cookie sheet lined with wax paper What you do: Have your adult assistant melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (stir often). Carefully stir in the chow mein noodles, being careful not to break them. Using a spoon, drop blobs of the chocolate-and-noodle mixture onto the cookie sheet. Using the back of the spoon, spread the blob out a little so it looks like a nest. Drop two or three jellybeans into each ‘nest.’ Put the pan in the fridge and let the chocolate set. Eat up!
Stoogles is super-excited
Oh yeah!!! It’s my birthday coming up and you know what that means! Party, cakes, presents! And more presents! And even more presents!!! I am inviting EVERYONE to my party! This is going to be the coolest party ever. I don’t know if you’re aware, but Googles’ parties are legendary. And when you combine a cool dude like myself with an awesome Googles’ party, you know what you get? The par-tay to end all par-tays, my friends. I am thinking of going to Chef Gazpacho and asking him to make a cake in the shape of my face. I think everyone would love that, don’t you? I can’t wait. Everyone is going to be so excited when I tell them about it. I’ll bet they’re all going to want to start thinking about what they’re going to get me.
The ‘Kinz offer to help
Salley again. When I told the ‘Kinz about my Earth Day idea to clean up the town, they were all really sweet and offered to help out with organizing all the volunteers and stuff. The thing is – I really just want this to be MY thing. I just know that I will feel better about it if I know that I do this myself. Then I will really know that I am making a big difference. I know it’s going to be a lot of work, but then I will feel all the better about it. You just wait – Earth Day is going to be awesome. Everyone in Kinzville is going to be thanking me for how great the town looks afterward.
Salley decides on an Earth Day project
I think all the Earth Day activities planned around Kinzville are really cool events, but I kind of had my own idea and I thought to myself, this is what the school presidency has been preparing me for. I am going to take on my very own Earth Day project. I know that when my friends and I ride our bikes around Kinzville I get really down whenever I see litter lying around, so I am going to organize volunteers to go around Kinzville and pick up trash. I think that’s something that will have real impact. My mom thinks that I am taking on too much and if I want to organize a town-wide clean up I am going to need help, but I really want to plan this myself. Imagine my feeling of accomplishment when I look around the town and know that I am the one responsible for getting all that trash cleaned up.
